Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Restaurant And Bar Horsforth

Was incredibly excited this Malaysian restaurant opened in hosforth and it didn’t disappoint. We tried the curry mee the prawns kai lan chicken nasi lemak roti canai abc and the flavours were delightful! Authentic food, portions were decent and the roti canai was sooo flakey how it should be! they’ve put a sophisticated spin on some Malaysian classics whilst keeping the flavours authentic.We wanted to try the banana dessert but that wasn’t available but means we’ll have to come back! Also has a wide selection of Malaysian beverages The egg noodle for the curry mee were a little small,I was left wanting more of it but the waitress took on board our feedback to the chef. Staff friendly and attentive, and could answer our queries regarding the food Will definitely be returning! Xx

Having come from Malaysia, this restaurant serves food that’s pretty accurate to how it’s done over there! We especially liked the mee kari and the ABC (very unique dessert!). I left extremely satisfied. One downside was that we had been waiting an hour for the food to come. However the staff were very well aware of this and would assure us that it would come. Another downside was that the portion of the char kuey teow was quite small, and it was similarly priced to the mee kari (pictured). I think with time the service will improve, and it would also be nice to serve a portion that suits the price paid. However, I will come back and I do look forward to it!

Literally just left the place and can't post this review quick enough. The beef rendang was sensational (one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had) with large pieces of beef, unlike a lot of places. The starters were very nice also and the restaurant is lovely and calm inside with courteous young staff who were lovely. 100% going again soon.

Kuala Lumpur is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Horsforth. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, the service is friendly and efficient and most of all, it's a pleasure to eat something made by chef Norman. Whether or not you think you're a fan of Malaysian food, you should definitely give Kuala Lumpur a chance. Don't be fooled by the empty tables at the front- in the back is a lively atmosphere and good quality dishes.
