We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Ginger Pig and we look forward to returning.
We wanted to visit Brighton but decided to stay in Hove because of this hotel and restaurant. It's a great location a few steps from the King Alfred leisure centre and easy access to buses into Brighton and walking distance to shops and other restaurants.
The service was outstanding - there was a warm greeting on arrival and help with getting our bags to our room. The room was lovely - large, comfortable and clean.
The food in the restaurant was outstanding and the service was very attentive and professional.
The internet or wifi went out after dinner one evening and the staff could not have been more helpful getting it sorted out for us.

The food was perfectly cooked and and the flavours were combined beautifully (although the portions could have been a little bigger - my only complaint). The drinks selection was excellent, fancy cocktails, a good wine list and pints of ale. The decor was simple and elegant, managing to distill the essence of a pub whilst delivering a fine dining restaurant vibe. There was plenty of space but it still has atmosphere. We were with another couple, but families were also in there and seemed well happy with their burgers!
We had a beautiful stay here. Immaculate and modern. We stayed in a two bedroom/ two bathroom ‘house’ with a fully equipped kitchen and open planned living room. Very high standard, spacious and bright. Lovely log burner also that will be lovely in the winter. A stones grow from the beach. Highly recommend.
Good food and good service. We turned up on spec on a Saturday lunchtime as a family of 5 adults. They were very accommodating. The food was well cooked and tasty, served in a timely, friendly manner.
Excellent works dinner and overnight stay at the Ginger Pig yesterday. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Dinner for 10 was excellent in their private dining room. The baked cauliflower was just amazing, as was the breakfast granola. Highly recommended.
I visited the Pig, back in June for my birthday: lovely restaurant and a good menu like the other restaurant in the group. The staff were very attentive, and the tables are well spaced, so you can really relax and take in the food and atmosphere. The only reason I gave it four stars on this visit was that the main I had, Sugar Pitt bacon chop, was missing something to help balance out how salty the dish was.

Wonderful restaurant with a fantastic menu. We opted for the set menu for just £22 which was absolutely incredible. Really high standard and friendly staff. Great Bloody Mary too! Going to try the steak next time!
We didn’t stay in the hotel - just came for dinner and drinks with our young children. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and the food and drinks were great, particularly the cocktails. Got into a conversation with a cocktail waiter about an obscure drink I tried 15 years ago and he said he knew how to make it - he made it for me (off menu) and it was delicious. Will go back next time I’m in Hove

We hired The Ginger Pig as the venue for our wedding party, and it was perfect.
We had dined there with friends almost 18 months before our wedding, and loved everything about the venue right from the start... From the lovely bar area tucked away at the side of the entrance, to the lower and upper dining areas. We found the decoration, styling, food and atmosphere met everything that we were looking for.
Right from the first meeting with Alex, the then General Manager, nothing was too much trouble, and it felt more like working with a friend, as opposed to another supplier.
Despite some last minute changes in the team, Pamela, one of the owners, personally took over a month before the wedding, and did everything she could to understand the plans, while putting our minds at rest... Pamela and the Ginger Pig team did an amazing job on they day, the serving team were attentive but not over bearing, the wines were fabulous, and the food was top notch.
I must also mention Ilenia and the team that manage the rooms. Everything was perfect!
We have had nothing but glowing feedback from our guests... Thank you Pamela (and Alex!), Ilenia and team for running everything so smoothly, and helping to make such a wonderful evening.
We stay here on a Saturday night and booked fairly last minute. The room was spacious (despite being one of the small rooms) with stylish decor and a lovely en-suite. Loads of nice touches including Cowshed toiletries, everything you need and decent mini bar. We decided to have breakfast in the restaurant the next morning and it didn’t disappoint! Overall fantastic stay, great find.
