The Garden Bar recently hosted our wedding reception and from start to finish we had a wonderful day. Leading up to the wedding Anna-Mari was incredibly helpful by answering any questions that we had and always responded promptly. The venue was also very accommodating to changes that we wished to make and offered ideas that were within our budget.
On the morning of the wedding it was a bit of a rush as we only had 2 hours to set the venue up and we left the majority of the decorating in the hands of the venue. They did not disappoint and when we arrived at 2PM the venue looked beautiful and better than we could have planned.
It was a beautiful, sunny day and the garden worked really well! We opted for a buffet wedding breakfast, which was high quality, and then we had a BBQ in the evening with just a burger option. My friends are still commenting on how good the burgers were!
The staff throughout the day was accommodating and friendly towards friends and family.
There is little criticism (if any) that we could give about the venue and I would recommend the Garden Bar to everybody!!We had the most beautiful day!
I hired the garden bar for my sister's hen do on 9th June and I have to say I was very impressed. Being from London all the organising was done over the phone and over email. Annamari who was dealing with the arrangements always replied straight away and really helped me with any requests I had. On the night the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and lots of it. Would definatly recommend and would definatly hire again. Thanks for making my sister's hen a night to remember.

I hosted my charity event at the garden bar on the 15th April and I have to say, it was the best decision I made.
I was meant to of had it on the 6th may but then the kings coronation was announced. Annamarie and Lisa contacted me and helped me find a different date.
The communication they had with me over the months leading up to the event was more than I expected and this made me feel more positive about how the charity event would turn out.
On the day of the event, the staff on duty were so hard working and went above and beyond my expectations. Having great staff like this, really makes a difference on someone’s experience.
I had also ordered different canapé’s for the beginning of my event and once again I was more than impressed. The food throughout the day was so lovely and I heard so many others say the same thing.
A lot of people had come to me, to congratulate me on my hard work but I honestly don’t think it would have been as successful as it was if I didn’t pick the perfect venue so thank you to everyone at the garden bar. You’ve left such a great impression on me.

We had our wedding reception here! It was amazing. The staff were attentive and were very helpful during the planning process!
I was amazed how it all came together and it is a day I will not forget!

A close friend of mine had a wedding reception held here a few days ago, and it was amazing. The staff were wonderful, food was fab, and the pub itself well looked after. The garden itself is huge and stunning. Genuinely couldn’t fault anything even if I wanted to!
We had our wedding reception here just a few days ago and we were over the moon with everything the team put together for us. From first enquiry to last orders the experience help and support has been outstanding. The help to decorate the gardens and venue, the amazing vegan food that all our guests said was the best wedding food they had ever had, and the attentive service from the whole team through the day. Honestly we were overwhelmed with just how this lovely pub was transformed to a beautiful wedding venue - we could not recommend The Garden Bar more highly if you want to have simply the most fabulous place to host a wedding or party. We had our wedding party here in October 2023 and it was stunning.
The team are so warm, helpful and frankly amazing at their jobs. The space was gorgeous with the fairylights and everything set up. The evening was completely smooth sailing and so well organised on the Garden Bar's end.
Annamari is so reassuring and has a lot of knowledge and experience that was vital for our planning. She let met with us multiple times and was so flexible to what we needed and wanted.
The food at the buffet was absolutely delicious and the team were brilliant with our gluten free and vegan guests.
Cannot recommend enough!
We recently had our wedding reception here. From the minute we enquired we were met with warmth and helpfulness. We were won over by the size of the garden and the friendliness of the staff. We booked and from that point the staff (in particular Annamarie) were helpful, thoughtful and literally kept us in the loop of everything. They went above and beyond to make our day stress free and special. We knew from the get go that we wanted a pub reception but this venue can be so much more - if you want something more formal then I know that The Garden Bar would be accommodating and it would be perfect! Even in windy hove we truly had the best day and were treated with such kindness and care. The food was enjoyed by all too. We would recommend this venue to anyone... (we have also been for food and drinks quite a few times over the summer and this too has been lovely)
A lovely venue with large outdoor garden that shuts at 11. The location is slightly outside of mainstream Brighton so it’s really nice to be surrounded by less pretentious locals and a good selection of cocktails and spirits on offer. Friendly staff, great espresso martini.
Lovely time in this pub, with a welcoming feel when you walk in and a lovely spacious outdoor seating area out the back. A little pricey but everywhere else locally is. Generally a very nice time for a drink and a meal
We had our wedding reception at The Garden Bar a few weeks ago and we could not have been happier with the night. Annamari and her team were amazing and could not do enough for us - Annamari has been fantastic since day one - the food was absolutely gorgeous - we could not fault anything. Great Sunday roast. One of best I've had out. Lots of options for vegetarians which was great. Would recommend. Everyone very happy with lunch.
