The Spinks Nest

My husband and I called in today for tea, as it was recommended. I was not disappointed we both had pie of the day, steak and ale. The pie was succulent big pieces of beef which melted in your mouth, a large portion of chip, with peas on the side with a delicious pot of gravy. Would highly recommend. Also great service from the bar staff.i would highly recommend

Sorry forgot to take pics of food. Had tikka masala just beautiful in fact the 2 people who came with me (my son and my sister)were both dipping their chips in the sauce and both said how delicious it was. We all enjoyed our Sunday lunch (the other 2 had chinese pork yummy). Anyway this is a lovely clean pub and they all work so hard. Adam the manager is charming and such a lovely man. Thank you to all of you . Cant forget the chef/s who make amazing meals

We love Spinks and have been going for years. Adam the new(ish) manager is superb and makes you feel so welcome. We went twice in two days. There is a big variety of food and drinks available. The portions are excellent and we often struggle to finish everything. There are always offers on both food and drink. It’s good for families or to go with your friends. I wouldn’t be phased going by myself also as it’s a very friendly atmosphere. I definitely highly recommend here whether it’s just for drinks or for a meal too.

Even though the bar was busy, the staff were pleasant and quick to serve those ordering. The food came quickly enough considering the amount of people ordering food. The meals were very good but we did miss having the choice of pizzas that used to be on the menu. The toilets for both ladies and gents could do with being upgraded, they were clean enough but have definitely seen better days

Went here with work bunch (9 of us) for a work lunch. I ordered of the specials board ribs and steak. It was lovely, steak a little bit over cooked for my liking but still nice. Ribs cooked to perfection fell off the bone. Everyone else enjoyed their food. So no complaints. Bar staff Patrick was a great laugh, very helpful and attentive.
