Lovely location but looking a bit old now. Could do with a spruce up. Tables a bit dirty.

A lovely sandstone building on one of the highest points around. Amazing views and lovely rooms. Breakfast and dinner available. A little remote though. Staff are always friendly and helpful. For a contractor working away from home it was a lovely break from the premiere Inns and Traveloges of the world.

A bit dated but good-sized rooms and friendly staff. A little way out of Huddersfield, takes about 20 mins to get into the centre by car, but lovely big car park. Room needed a good hoover but otherwise clean and tidy. 👍🏼

After a wonderful day on the moors in brilliant sunshine we made our way to scapegoat Hill.What a surprise a striking hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. A very comfortable double bed two twins pushed together. Spotless white bedding and towels. Welcome tray tv just in time for midsummer murders and a great nights sleep. Who could ask for more after Notts County gaining their place back in the league. Sat in a carpark in rochdale to listen what a match. I think Rochdale got to hear the county goals from me.

Went for an afternoon tea with a friend for her birthday, arranged and catered by Alison Whitmarsh. It was absolutely delicious. Every morsel. Fab singing. Great atmosphere. Fun afternoon. Thank you. Hope you do more. X

I have only been here for work events but always found the staff helpful and the room more than meets our needs. The food options for the team are brilliant and staff do well to cater for different dietary requirements.

Excellent place to visit and dine. Had afternoon tea today, couldn't be bettered anywhere. Large selection of freshly made sandwiches, pork pie, sausage rolls and quiche. Great scones with cream and jam. Unlimited tea and coffee. Followed by a good selection of cakes. Friendly and very attentive staff. Nice, airy dining room with good views of the countryside. Highly recommended for a visit. Will be back again.
