Now called The Harp... it's great that The Lion's Head has reopened as a boozer again. My pint of Madri was excellent and Walkers cheese and bunion always a winner. Come on in, East Ipswich - we need more pubs!! Maybe an open mic night, folk club, quiz night would re-kindle a local pub vibe. We need this pub!!! Support it!😃👍🍺

The hotel looks OK from the outside, through the window it looks even better, unfortunately I couldn't get in and the phone number sounds like it's been diverted to another country... And nobody answered..... So I paid again at travelodge and stayed there.... Went to the hotel again the following day, nobody there, phone still just rings out. I'm sure it's a lovely hotel and by all accounts the reviews are fairly good... Is this a reverse escape room, where you have to follow clues to get you into a locked hotel lol 😂
I can review the car park : nice black tarmac, lovely matching dropped kerb entrance way, and the warming / snug sodium lighting from the council street lights really kicked things off nicely.

Very friendly and helpful staff, everything clean and tidy, plenty of food at breakfast. The only downside was my duvet was small and no top sheet so I got quite cold in the night.

Really enjoyed staying here and the food was both lovely and plentiful. Kelly was great and greeted me when I arrived and the rooms were clean and met my needs. This place featured on a TV show and they make note of this on occasion. Plenty of places to eat nearby and also use of their breakfast room enable a you to use their facilities if you choose not to eat with them and bring in your own. Lovely stuff.

Booked the function room for a kids birthday party. Staff couldn't have been nicer, really nice afternoon.

Stayed here whilst on a work course. Was pleased with the quality of the room, the public areas and the staff seemed welcoming but not in your face. There was off street parking available, outdoor spaces for smokers (or non smokers) and if you didn't want their food, they were perfectly happy for you to bring in your own food, as long as it was not eaten in the bedrooms. Location was very easy to get to the east side of Ipswich. I'd be very happy to stay here again.
