Brilliant! I couldn't agree more with the last review - Nelson's seem to really have upped their game and sorted out the few earlier problems. I can't help feeling that some people just want to complain and find fault with Nelson's, which is a shame. I find the food and service to be really good. We recently had friends over and ordered our meal with Nelson's for delivery. The fish was great - crispy and succulent, lovely fluffy chips and the burgers were really wonderful! My mate tried and loved the salt & pepper squid - the best he's had he said. And my wife loved the Spicy chicken wings starter and Halloumi main. Thanks guys and keep it up! Will definitely be back fro more :-)

Me and my family love visiting this fish and chip shop. We’ve found it’s by far the best in our local area. The staff are always friendly. We’ve not once been disappointed with our food. It’s always our go to for a family take away. Massive bonus to be able to eat in or take away too !

I'm not usually one for writing reviews. However, i believe that this place deserves all the recognition it can get. It has delicious freshly cooked hot food, served to the highest of quality each and every time i have visited. And with their newest addition of their quarter pound cheese burgers i will have to say, they exceeded my expectations drastically. Hopefully they get as much attention as they deserve. I will personally do my best to recommend this place to as many people as i can.

I enjoyed the haddock and chips cooked to order at Nelson's by Liam. The fish tasted fresh and the batter was just right. Staff were very friendly and the eating/waiting area clean and fresh.

We had a meal for 2 adults + one 10 year old. No complaints about any of the food or the cleanliness of the surroundings. Would of scored 5 stars if it was a little lit cheaper although not stupidity expensive

Excellent good quality fresh cooked food. Lots of new and different items on the menu. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be going back there. Couldn't recommend enough 🖒.

Good food with patient and helpful staff. Unlike some fish and chip shops the food was not that greasy which is a massive plus point. Possibly one of the best fish and chip shops in Ipswich

came in last night and had a burger meal deal which was lovely,and it was only £4.95. veggie burger with chips and a drink cant go wrong there.next time i will be trying their halloumi burger.
