Had a really nice meal here. The clam chowder was loaded with clams. I had buffalo chicken pizza, which was super yummy. Also thumbs up to the fried scallop plate. The portions are huge! And cheers to Savannah, who was an outstanding server!!! Very happy we sat in her section as she provided exceptional service. Highly, highly recommend.

Truly amazing sirloin tips! One of the best I have tried anywhere. The scallops where of excellent quality too. The fries that accompanied the scallops and tips where very, very good as well. However the side of rice pilaf that accompanied the sirloin tips was truly horrid. How can something so good (the sirloin) be served on the same plate with something so horrific (the rice pilaf)??? It escapes me... So when ordering your sides for the sirloin stay away from the rice pilaf.
Shout out to Laura, our server, who was superb. She was kind enough to point us to the best beach in town.

CASH ONLY! Sometimes you need to find a place that only accepts cash to find the true heart and soul of a city/town eatery and the Pub is certainly one of them. Despite the crazy price of seafood these days the lobster roll is the best you'll find in town, I also suggest the pub burger, and be sure to bring a companion with you so you can split onion rings and fries.
What would Ipswich be without the pub? I'm not too sure, but all I know is I don't want to imagine that kind of future.

This was our first visit and will not be our last. The food was delicious! My husband got the club burger and he said that it was probably one of the best burgers he ever had! Very reasonable priced menu.

Service was good, pizza had too much cheese and because of that it was soggy and very greasy in the middle. The fried clam plate was very large and reasonably priced. The seafood chower was flavorful and creamy.

Got clam plate and scallop plate. Great serving for the price compared to other restaurants in 2022. Service was great and the food was amazing. I'd recommend The Choate Pub for seafood for sure.

Great wait staff and atmosphere. Food was delicious too. Tried the haddock sandwich and the pastrami with onion rings. Fun people watching too.

Wouldn't waste my time went there for first time because of a friends recomendation. Sat at bar and wasent even acknowledged. Bar maid basically ingnored me fot ten minutes. Shot the breeze with locals. came around and wiped a table for local couple that came in 5 minutes after me. So if your not a local don't bother. Hope they can sustain summer tourists season.I won't be back.
