Visited here whilst on a short stay this week. Popped in and I had the cheese, onion and tomato quiche. When we arrived it was still in the oven which I didn’t mind waiting for! It was the best quiche I’ve ever had, beats Dicksons, shop ones, even farm shop ones! As you can see by the photo, the quiche was brimming, beautiful and fresh ingredients! The staff were very helpful too as my boyfriend has gluten free and he even had a couple of gorgeous cakes too!
We had lunch at The Cottage Kitchen, which was wonderful. Children's menu, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and most importantly: plenty of gluten and lactose free options! The salmon quiche was so good. Definitely recommend going here, especially when suffering from food allergies or intolerances.
Food was lovely and very well priced! The coffee was honestly one of the best lattes I’ve had in a longggg time!!
Perfect double shot mocha and excellent bacon roll. Hostess was lovely and friendly. All of the scones and cakes looked delicious
Very nice, friendly staff. Seats are inside and outside too. Mocha and capucino was good. And we had carrot cake too (was tasty full of nuts).
We LOVE this cafe!! We spend every summer in Kendal, and make a special visit at least twice each trip to our favourite brunch spot. The staff are so welcoming, and so accommodating, with special orders and happy kids. Thank you Cottage Kitchen for being part of our traditions!!
We visited the Cottage kitchen in Kendal on Saturday one of the best Caesar salads I have ever tasted,my husband loved their homemade coleslaw, after seeing other people's meals being served up they all looked delicious and plentiful , thumbs up for the chef 👍, Lyn and her staff were polite and cheerful . We will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes. 😋 Yum yum x
We visited here yesterday and weren’t disappointed. I have coeliac disease and find it really difficult finding places to eat that have gluten-free options. The lady serving us was very clued up about gluten-free, and took time to tell us all the things I could have off the menu and that everything that went in the frier was gf. I had the 3 cheese quiche with chips, and my husband had the steak and onion pie, both gf and delicious. We then had a lemon meringue pie and a carrot cake, again both gf and really nice. We will definitely be visiting again and taking our granddaughter, another coeliac.
I eat as often as i xan here. The owners have catered for GF diets for many years, take it seriously and can ve relied on. And importantly, the food is delicious, too!
Wide range of gluten-free and dairy-free meal options. The best gluten-free pies I have ever tasted. Highly recommend.
