What a wonderful pub, warm welcome and a fantastic selection of cask beers. The pint of Aurum I ordered was possibly the best pint I’ve ever had.

Food all done in house and is stupidly good for the price, atmosphere incredibly friendly and a good range of local ales served in some nice glassware

Excellent food, fantastic and friendly customer service, great range of local ales, very reasonable prices. A real fire on chilly days if needed and a good outdoor seating area on those lovely sunny days. A traditional old classic pub with a wonderful history and full of character.

Fantastic pub with great home made food, cozy and superb staff. The owner is very friendly and sociable. I had the gammon and my friend had a chicken roast, both delicious.

Old school pub serving great beer. Came here following a long run and in need of a cold pint. The Ring O Bells was the perfect spot - an excellent selection, clearly well kept cellar, and friendly service. The seats outside are a sun trap too!

We were staying overnight in Kendal after a long drive from North is Scotland - we were walking past and checked the menu and decided to stop for dinner. The service is lovely, landlord very friendly, Molly the dog super cute! The food was freshly cooked, nicely presented and so keenly priced that I would definitely recommend any family looking for decent pub food to give it a go! If we are this way again we will definitely be stopping in again!

We visited 19/2/22 Nice little pub full of olde world charm, with a warmth of character from the building and from the friendly landlords from Manchester. They've been running the pub since December 2021 and only started serving food in the last couple of weeks, very tasty and very well presented too, my husband and I had the 100% homemade beefburgers (I'm not much of a fan of burgers but I saw one come from the kitchen for another customer and just had to try one) it didn't disappoint it was awesome ☺️ Our friends had the steak and ale pies that should have been with mash and veg but they asked if they could have chips instead, and their request was met. Locals and tourists all friendly and chatting together and their dogs were made welcome too (with the fella from the bar bringing out dog chews for them). Tony and Scott (hope I got the names correct) are doing a grand job. One tiny thing is the smokey/soot smell in the snug due to a blocked flue, so the open fire wasn't lit in this room but they are in the process of getting that sorted so as soon as that's sorted 5/5. Food 10/10 😋 My husband said it was the best pint he had for the whole weekend too, pint of real ale called Eureka. Thanks for the lovely welcome and the lovely food fellas. Toni, Gary & friends 👍💪🙌👌

After a hectic day, all we wanted was some good food and nice beer, and that’s exactly what we got, and some more! The service was friendly and welcoming and the range of craft beers were spot on! And so well priced!

Didn't have food do can't rate. Really quirky little place. The only church/ cathedral to boast its own pub.
