Our second time, great value, good food & excellent service. Ideal for a night’s stopover on our journeys in our motorhome. Lovely walks down the adjacent canal, with the added benefit of electrical hook up if needed. We will be back again.

We didn't dine in. We had an outside table by the canal. The food was excellent, as was the service. There was water out for dogs, and everyone chatted to each other. The whole feeling was homely and enjoyable.

Always love a visit to The Lock. Can get very busy at times so you may not always be guaranteed a seat outside. Drinks, snacks and service are always good. Loving the DJ that was on the pub car park - great addition to a Summers Day out drinking.
The tea room just opposite is also lovely - especially their ice creams 😋

What a wonderful pub. The food is fantastic, even my fussy kids are everything! Staff are great and there is plenty of parking. The burgers here are probably the nicest I've had and I believe they make them themselves. My Mum had a fillet steak that was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

At the Old Smith Tearoom today, I had a latte in pleasant surroundings, only about half an hour’s walk through beautiful countryside from Kiddie - what more could you ask for, really?

Absolutely beautiful place, down the canal is a lovely walk stop at the lock and old smith for a quick bite or a nice meal out, very polite staff and a welcoming atmosphere, 10/10 top marks to the chef 👨🍳 on the fillet steak, best meat I have ever had

I can’t recommend this pub enough. The staff are great, food amazing, best Sunday Lunch in a long time, all fresh produce, I had 3 meats breast of chicken, thick slices of pork and beef and I mean thick! Yorkie just like mother made! Veg delicious. Right on the camel side, lovely views. Will be definitely going back.

Best place to have a pub next to the the canal ,very busy all Friday afternoon as we visited it twice, once for a drink and came back for some food later on. Very well staffed good selection of beers 🍻 and the food was very good and a good selection to choose from.
