Lovely character pub with boutique rooms for B & B, stayed 2 nights. Staff very kind and accommodating with long term family connection to the premises, great history with a modern twist. Thank you for the welcome and the kindness received it was greatly appreciated by myself and my 85+, let's not be too exact for Mum). Clearly a very popular village local.

Popped in for a quick drink whilst camping in the area. Good choice of beer and gins. Friendly staff and locals. Very interesting decor. Nice outside seating if it had been warmer!

A great atmosphere and welcoming staff, but the food was variable - OK but not exceptional. Chips were tasteless and dry. Peas over cooked and the Gnochi dish was dry (needed a moist addition to it). Looking at other reviews online, we probably got an off night, which happens in the best of establishments. But the welcome and ambiance was excellent.

Very highly recommended; popped out for a late lunch with my partner and it really didn't dissapoint. Just a 15 minute drive away with many of our locals not serving food at that time in the day. Brilliant food, beaut pint of Guinness (so I've been told), wonderful and friendly staff, cosy (especially next to the log fire) with a good atmosphere. We had a nosey around after the meal, there is also garden room and pub garden which we will take advantage of on another occasion whilst it appears they have a street food pop up on certain days. Whilst this wont be the cheapest pub you go to, it won't disappoint.

Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. I tried the scotch egg which was so light, guinea fowl ravioli- it was divine.

Not been here for several years however as they were doing a Lunch Special, we decided to pop along. We were not disappointed. I had the Venison dish and my partner the Smoked Salmon Risotto. Both were absolutely delicious. The weather was fine and we sat outside. Great quality food. Great service. Very reasonable pricing. We will be returning in the not too distant future. Would love to see their amazing BBQ in use. Took advantage of walking round the Village of Harpley after and up to the Church. Lovely place.

This place is honestly one of the best I've visited. It's a lovely little comfy country pub with nice decor and a welcoming warm fireplace. There's a good selection of food and drink and the Chef and wait staff are so amazingly helpful and accommodating, we had some allergies in our party of 7 and they prepared a dish fresh and off menu to accommodate the dietary requirements. I couldn't have felt more comfortable and welcome and highly recommend anyone to visit
