Recently visited this past weekend and had a lovely Sunday afternoon carvery with the family. All tables were full, clearly a popular lunch spot, so very glad we booked in advance. There were lots of meat choices, I went for the turkey and pork - both very nice. My partner went for the beef which she said was delicious (and she can be a bit picky with meat!). The service was also very quick which we appreciated. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

Brilliant atmosphere and the staff were very friendly, food was good apart from the roast potatoes seemed frozen, very hard and dry. Meat selection brilliant and desserts were amazing. The only thing that would have made it 100% worthy of 5 stars would be home made roast potatoes. But in all a lovely family meal out

Stopped by for a quick lunch with my fiance and dad! Nice atmosphere great to see people enjoying a Wednesday lunch! Loved seeing whitebait on the menu and a great selection of beers!

We went for our Boxing Day traditional meal out and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The food was amazing the atmosphere was great and the service outstanding. Staff were friendly and inviting. We will definitely book again for next year We will not be going anywhere else.

The foldgate inn is lovely inside, you have the quaint pub on one end and the lovely dining area on the other side of the fire place. The staff were lovely and accommodating to our party and their needs. The food (especially the hand made chips) was lovely, I would highly recommend going
