Oriental Palace

Excellent find. An 'All-you-can-eat' Chinese with everything cooked to order. Great service and atmosphere. Food was superb! Too many highlights to list. Will definitely return if in the area. Only minor negative is that the dining chairs are a bit low, my knees were up around my ears! That being said, still a great establishment.

Let’s start with the elephant in the room: From the outside it looks like it is closed to going into administration. The garden area hasn’t been kept up in years, letters falling off the sign and the dead plants…. If you didn’t know any better you’d drive right pass and not give it a second thought. However once through the doors you see a different side to this hidden gem. All of the food is fresh and made to order - nothing is left out under hot lamps or been poked about by anyone else. Very tasty and seasoned well. Service is fast and direct - the staff are there to ensure you get your food quickly and they do so. This place gets very busy from opening time no matter what time of year. Enjoy

We went away for a weekend and found this place by chance. After arrival at our guest house in the middle of nowhere we discovered the local pub was no longer doing food. It was a Friday evening, so we did a google search, Oriental Palace was in the next village, and we called to see if they could fit us in. They did with no problem. Parking was easy, lots of spaces. We were seated after a couple of minutes, the place was full, very loud but with a nice atmosphere. We found out you could only order off the 'All you can eat' menu. Which we didn't really want, but had to eat. The food was excellent, flavoursome, and melt in the mouth. It arrived on lots of small dishes. There was only one dish we didn't like. The food was served fast, and the staff were efficient, friendly, and rushed off their feet. We would definitely eat here again, but we would order from the takeaway menu. You can't have a doggy bag for food you haven't finished, which is unfair, considering we paid for it hence 4 stars.

Chicken Fied Rice and Mushroom Fried Rice (both) wre excellent in taste as well as aroma. If you are a small eater then order one which is enough for two people. Lemon Chicken is small serving but it was excellent. Szechwan Chicken was good too. Friendly Staff and atmosphere is just fantastic. I will highly recommend this restaurant and we will visit again and again
