Lovely food, portions a little too big. Nice friendly server. My one complaint would be that there were 2 extremely high steps to access the building, and no hand rail.

We booked here for a 40th birthday meal with 20 people, they was very friendly over the phone and accommodating, they did ask if we could make a list of the food that the 20 people wanted of the menu, which we did and took the list in a couple of days before, we was able to go in earlier to put up a few banners and balloons as the tables where ready, very cheerful staff, when everyone had arrived we let the staff know for the chef, in a short time all the food was quickly served with everything right, all the guests were very complimentary about the food, there is a good selection of drinks, also a view onto the golf course. I will definitely be going again and would like to give a big thank you to all the staff.

Went for lunch with friends, the place was pretty quiet , and a couple of staff behind the bar. Went to find our own menus as there wasn't any on the table Sat by the window, the place was lovely and clean, food was excellent If you're still there around 16.30-16.45 , 2 deer come out of the woods

Enjoyed our time at the lodge. The food was amazing as usual.Had to ask a few times for things like menu, didn't really get any information when we got there. But staff were helpful when we did ask. Definitely recommend.

A little bit hidden but well worth being found. We sat outside, loads of seating to choose from. Food was lovely, staff were really pleasant too.

What a nice place, there's an outside area plus a large area they use for functions plus another smaller seating area. The waitresses were very nice and got us seated quickly enough. They had several specials up on boards including desserts. There's only a couple of John Smiths beers on tap and the usual ciders & lagers . We didn't have starters as we saw several plates of food go out heaped right up. So we ordered chicken kieves (wife & daughter) and I had mixed grill. I got a botyle of house sauv which was 12 quid. We had ootion of fries or home made chips, we obvs had home made. Well the food came out and was fab. I had large onion rings in a fine light batter, a 10oz med rare steak, spicy sausage, cajun chicken breast a Heap of nicely cooked veg and the hm chips. The girls' chicken Kiev was huge, coated in golden crumbs and a generous amount of garlic butter on top. The chicken was very juicy but not greasy at all. All meals were packed with flavour and all well seasoned. We asked the manager about the food, specifically the kievs, if bought in to which he lsughed and said no, all our food is home made. Top marks to the chef Brian, he did a fantastic job. The manager also said it's best to book Friday and Saturday's as gets busy. There's a large bar in the main area and a smaller one where we were. Plenty of parking as you cut through one car park to get to the pub as it's set back from the main road. The three meals, beer, Martini and bottle of wine came in at just under 20 quid each. Out of interest, one day during the week they do an over 55's club with live music and snacks which is a great idea to socialise safely. We will definitely be back. Fantastic.

Visited had a meal Christmas Eve. Food was amazing, staff and service great no long wait at the bar. The only thing was so cold no heating on. Had to eat in the restaurant with coats on asked for heating to be put on but time it started to warm up we had finished our meal. I think when you go to a restaurant for a meal you shouldn't have to ask for the heating to be on, should already be warm in the restaurant to eat a meal without having to sit with a winter jacket on to eat a meal.
