Rising Sun

Unfortunately we did not do any meals we stayed for a few beers the staff were perfect the service was perfect the atmosphere was also perfect we did leave my wife’s mobile phone there and when I rung up they had found it and put it behind the bar,we collected it the next day thanks to all at this homely pub it was a fantastic experience and will be back in soon for a Sunday lunch once again thank you all.

The Rising Sun Beverly Road on the edge of the ghost Estate is a very attractive community pub. There is good selection of lagers and beer including cask conditioned real ale. There is live music on a Saturday and I've seen a couple of really good bands and singers here. The staff are very friendly, it's a nice pub, with outside seating and a car park.

Love the pub and the staff . But really not impressed with the food. Tried the Sunday lunch and the normal size meal came squashed onto a really small plate. Yorkshire puddings were home made and nice. The following week we had a mixed grill and it wasn't worth the money we paid. I can't understand how a kitchen runs out of tomatoes ( grilled to accompany the meal) when Tesco superstore is a few steps across the road! The pub is a good size and is really clean, and has a great range of drinks. The young guy on the bar takes pride in making the bar look good and is eager to please. REVIEW EDIT Tried the Sunday lunch again last weekend and ordered the large . It came on a much better plate and was absolutely delicious. To be fair, the barmaid did offer to put a regular Sunday lunch on a bigger plate if that's what we wanted. We went home absolutely stuffed. Going again this Sunday . Hoping the new menu is as nice as it looks on the pictures outside the pub. 😊
