Pollard's Plaice

First time been saw yu tuber review it think he was geordie my cosion lives near there she been few times another friend daughter went few weeks ago told my friend to go I beat her to it sent photo had small fish chips mushy peas order pattie special bring home chips peas I will go again great tasty chips fish batter really good nice mushy peas

Only just noticed I had not left a review for Pollards Plaice after coming here for the last year. Really really good fish and chips I wish I lived closer. The quality of the fish is second to none and fried perfectly. The first time I went to Pollards I had my fish and chips wrapped and took it home( see pic Plaice and chips). Now my mouth is watering so much I have it open and eat in the car. They have some really good special offers price wise the last I had was regular fish n chips for a fiver. All portions are generous and the staff are great. Lots of good chippys in Hull I have tried a lot of them, Pollards is not good it's really really good, in fact it's exceptional.

Simply the best chippy in Hull, i wanted to say in East Hull, but i think in HULL is more accurate. The fish is fresh, and the batter is well seasoned. The patties are delicious and flavourful, and the chips are fresh and delightful but don't let me forget about the sausage because they are good too. I'm the biggest fussy critic when it comes to food, but let me tell you something.... I've never been disappointed by pollards plaice and i think everyone should try it and see for yourself. just go there, you won't be disappointed 😊

A range of different patties which been a hull person will find a change to the norm. Very friendly staff. Great size portions. And a thing I did notice which goes a long way in my eyes was a elderly lady forgot to order a fishcake after paying a waiting for her order. She then remembered on collection of her order,the gent behind doing the frying got one out wrapped it up an just gave her it for free saying your a regular Love.. Good food A+++
