Initially I phoned a few weeks prior to our booking to confirm a specific item was on the menu daily for one of our group with a dietary issue. They phoned me back to confirm they did & took my booking for 4. This was the first time we had all been here. We were early for our booking but the greeting was very friendly & welcoming. We all ordered different items for lunch & we were all very impressed with the quality & quantity of the meals. The team who served our drinks & meals were all very friendly. We were all so impressed we all said we would definitely visit The Black Robin again. Well done. PS they also phoned to say we had left an item behind when we left & would hold onto it for us. Great customer service.

We went for lunch today ☺️ very friendly waitress, food cooked to order. Lovely meal I had the black robin burger the onion rings accompany were amazing and my partner had lemon chicken with paprika, asparagus and garlic sauce which he thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommend
This little place is a gem!
Off the beaten track a little but we'll worth a visit. We booked a Sunday lunch and were reserved a table in a comfortable position.
The dinner we chose was roast beef and came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire, broccoli, carrots, cauli cheese, cabbage and was delicious. We didn't have to wait long either which was good as we were famished.
We also had deserts, again, very good indeed and I can personally recommend the salted caramel chocolate pot.
The staff were polite and attentive and answered all our questions as 2 of us have special dietary requirements.
Excellent service, prices very reasonable and we will certainly go back.

Perfect! We wanted a nice chilled out friendly Sunday roast. The Black Robin gave us including our 2 dogs a lovely welcome, a great menu and we sat in the garden and enjoyed great food.

Staff very friendly, tried the draught real ales which were in excellent condition. The food being served looked great so although l had eaten beforehand got a pizza to split with my wife it was really good value and very tasty. Facilities were very clean. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Just got back home after an amazing Sunday Roast at this homely pub located in the beautiful village of Kingston on the edge of the Elham Valley. Amazingly breathtaking scenery !
The food was deliciously delightful! We had pork loin, cracking, black pudding, cabbage, cauli cheese, honey roast parsnips, carrots and roast potatoes 😋 very generous potions ! 👍 The home made ice cream was super duper too. We tried the peanut butter, double chocolate and honeycomb flavours.
The young girls serving us were lovely, so pleasant and helpful.
The inside of the pub is v cosy and nicely decorated however, the garden and the patio area can do with a bit of TLC.
