Bar and waitress staff were really lovely, and welcoming.
The food certainly did not disappoint, we didn’t have to wait very long which makes a nice change! The garlic and watercress soup was delivered with a hot crusty roll, and mouth watering butter, it was to die for!! I had pork belly lunch, every vegetable was cooked to perfection. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a delicious gravy too. Pork was cooked beautifully too. I cannot criticise anything. What a lovely gem of a restaurant 👌🏼 Most definitely will be returning.
Enjoyed an excellent meal to celebrate a friends birthday here, can highly recommend the trio of tapas starter, cider and bacon mussels, not to mention the Chateau Mussar to accompany! We will be back soon!
This is what quality country pub food and service should be all about. Just the right amount of creativity to refresh pub standards, some exotic menu flourishes (but nothing outlandish) and simply fantastically executed roasts (best I've had in a decade). Service absolutely impeccable. Atmosphere to match. Great walks around (including Dashwood Estate and Ricer Cherwell and an intriguing quarry. ,,
I visited the Dashwood Arms with my family and the food was absolutely fantastic. The Wellington roast was by far the best roast dinner I've had in a long time. My starter was also delicious and beautifully presented. Kudos to the chef's! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely be returning when I'm next in town.
What a wonderful pub! My whole family travelled to Kirtlington today to celebrate my Grandfather's 90th birthday. There were a lot of us but the pub did an excellent job in accommodating us all considering the current situation. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely beautiful! We were all fit to burst by the time we left. A member of our group had some tricky dietary requirements but the pub made all the effort to see they had a lovely meal too. Nothing was too much for them. The pub itself is beautiful, modern and clean but with so many original features. A must of you are visiting anywhere nearby! Thank you so much Scott and all the team for making our afternoon a special one!
Dog friendly. Family of all sizes and ages welcomed. Lovely service and great tasting food presented beautifully. Warming atmosphere and a well designed pub with beautiful traditional features. Would definitely recommend.
We called there as we were on a narrow boat holiday and needed to eat .After a healthy walk we arrived early and were given a table. What a delight. Superb food, attentive service,great bottle of wine, just a top class evening . An unexpected delight and totally memorable.

Excellent place to stop for a quick bite. We had 3 Dashwood Burgers and 1 jackfruit burger. All were excellent and the staff were attentive.
Visited on a Saturday and was quite quiet between 12:00 and 13:30 but started to fill up after that.
Highly recommended.
Fantastic atmosphere, family friendly country pub with great food and incredible service. Lovely atmosphere both inside and out in the garden, would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed evening out.
I visited The Dashwood- Kirtlington today with my daughter. So welcoming. Our food was delicious and the wine excellent. Highly recommend. Dog and child friendly outside space covered in poor weather. Staff attentive. Enjoy when you visit . 🍾

Friendly landlord who kept the bar open when he was wishing to close for the afternoon, just to let us have a drink in the pleasant sunny (then) garden. Lovely village to wander around.
