Stumbled on this place, when out looking for food, staff were very friendly and the setting was very smart and cosy. The food was very nice, I had the haddock mornay with creamed cabbage and bacon, which was very rich but beautiful. The wife had the steak which was a little over cook and had too much pepper for my wife, but was still nice. Overall I would definitely recommend eating here If your passing by. Followed by a nice stroll along the promenade.
Superb food served here. Staff also very friendly and helpful. They will adapt the menu to suit your needs when asked.

I like this venue for a nice coffee and cake. They also do great soup which is ideal if you are also planning a walk along the prom

Visited with my family...had a great breakfast...service was excellent...came back for tea...meal was great...and back again for tea tonight...spicy wing starters are really spicy...all in all had an excellent meal on each visit...staff are very polite and service is top notch...
Had lunch with a couple of friends. The food was really good and the service was excellent. The cafe has nice decor and has a modern feel to it as well as being bright and airy also. Only downside that loses it a 5 star rating is that our food took a long time to arrive even though the cafe wasn't full. I wouldn't write it off on that though as we may have had a one-off, slow food experience. I would definitely visit again to allow them the chance of a 5 star rating next time.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Food was great and freshly made. I had the scampi which was lovely as were the home made chips and mum had the haggis, neeps and tatties which she enjoyed. It was great for us as mum was in a wheelchair and there was a ramp up to the entrance and as it's dog friendly we could also take her wee dog in which was a major bonus. Will definitely be back if we're in the area again.
Very enjoyable meal. Husband had a chicken burger which was tasty with really good chips. I had an omelette, again tasty with a nice salad. The staff were lovely and coffee was good if a little on the strong side for drinking on its own.
November 19, 2018 we celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a family dinner at The Bean & Leaf. Every dish served was delicious, hot and well presented. The staff were very friendly and polite. Big selection of home baking - difficulty in choosing one so we shared several. We will definitely be regular customers from now on.
Lovely place. Had the breakfast which I really enjoyed - apart from mushrooms being peppered before serving - don't like pepper. Please leave this up to customer choice. That said it was still nice & great friendly service.
Would have been 5 stars if they hadn't forgot about us and it wasn't that busy. Eventually had to go to bar to order our food. Otherwise lovely food and pleasant staff. Would still recommend
