Quick pit stop after a lovely weekend in Edinburgh and we were sceptical when we pulled into the car park My husband likes a burger and said this today was probably the best he's ever had Three of us sampled the roast lamb lunch All in all the food was good value delicious, hot and served promptly by a welcoming hospitable family Don't drive past this place it's fantastic you won't regret it Thankyou Lauderdale hotel

We had a lovely lunch here. The food was very tasty and above all the service was absolutely brilliant. They are the friendliest people here, and I would return for that alone even if the food wasn't as wonderful as it is! It's a very comfortable enviroment with a variety of different seating. A great selection of food. Although I can't comment on their other services, judging by how accommodating they are I'd be extremely surprised if it wasn't top notch.

We can't comment on the hotel side as we weren't staying there. This review is purely about the restaurant side. We went here for an evening meal and enjoyed the experience. The menu was a bit limited but still provided a decent variation of choice. We had 3 courses and the food was well presented and tasty. Prices seemed reasonable. Staff were attentive and pleasant being easy to talk to. We were first in but the place quickly started to fill up which is probably a good sign so ring and book a table if you intend going just to make sure.

Stopped by the hotel for lunch and it was great. Nice big car park with plenty of spaces. Had the boneless porkchops with mash and creamy mushroom sauce and black pudding fritters. Forgot to take a photo but my plate was empty when I had finished. My dad had haddock and chips and enjoyed that as well. Single member of staff on in the dining area was very helpful and happy to char with all of the diners. Prices were very good for 2 main courses and 4 drinks. Would definitely recommend popping in for a meal and will go again if I am in the area in the future.
