We called into The Shore Hotel for drinks after a walk. Really lovely pub. I cannot get over the majesty of their toilets.

Had the pleasure of dinner and an overnight stay at The Shore this weekend following their new refurbishment. It exceeded expectations. The building is fantastic, and the rooms are beautifully designed. This is all backed up by a great restaurant (highly recommended for a visit even if you aren't staying there) and a wonderfully friendly team. Looking forward to going back for another visit!

We have visited numerous times for Sunday lunch and it has always been fantastic. We always eat in the bar as restaurant is booked so far ahead. Beef is always amazing and desserts likewise. Great selection of red wines by the glass.Staff are always friendly and attentive. Will continue to visit on a regular basis as probably the best Sunday lunch on the island

Was only there for a drink today, but the renovations are amazing. The lounge looks bright, modern and it's a very friendly environment. The restaurant looks amazing and the glass front will be lovely day and night. The new seating outside is very substantial and just waiting for a warmer day for customers to sit outside by the side of the river.

Nice pub and restaurant, recently totally refurbished to a high standard. The bar has a great atmosphere and polite staff. Good range of beers 🍻 and snacks.
The restaurant is large and well decorated, nice selection of products local meats and vegetables. You can also stay overnight at the hotel, all the rooms have been totally refurbished to a high standard. Plenty of parking at the side of the Resturant.

Went this evening for a pub meal rather than the restaurant. Food was excellent, chips particularly amazing, service was great and the cask ale was in top form. Highly recommend giving this place a try under its new owners!

Cannot recommend The (newly refurbed) Shore Hotel Laxey enough for having my partner and I.
Whether you’re out front sitting by the river, sitting by the fire on the decking, in the pub siting away on karaoke (or perched at the end of the cocktail bar🫠) the service was incredible throughout. The standard & quality of the hotel, restaurant and pub is outstanding! A great selection of the well known drinks but also have available the local exclusive drinks, if you’re wanting to sample a variety of what local Manx breweries have to offer.
You need to visit purely to see the toilets (the very posh Japanese style loo’s had blown my mind!) 🤯
We can’t wait to get back, any time you’re visiting the Isle of Man, you need to visit even just for drinks or food — unbelievable! 👌🏻

The owners are making a good job of turning the pub into a nice, friendly place for a night out. It's a nice place to be, it has a great atmosphere and is being well run. The only niggles I have are that I don't like Bushys beer (I don't think they know what hops are) and I really don't like karaoke. They are both personal preferences though, and if you're not bothered by them, you'll enjoy this place immensely.
