We arrived without a booking on a sunday afternoon and were seated without hassle and ordered food. Our roast dinners were delicious, and the service was great. This could of potentially been a 5 star review if it wasn't for 1 thing that really pissed me off. On the specials menu, they had a side order of crackling as an extra. I had ordered pork, so i decided to ask for it. When it arrived, it tasted like some kind of fake frozen substitute, almost like the pork scratching snacks you buy from behind the bar and not real crackling from the meat that was cooked on the day.

Just had a couple of pints and I must say loved the ambience. The open garden at the rear of the pub is huge and beautifully constructed.

Went yesterday for Sunday Roast. Food was lovely and extras were offered. Staff were really friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was really lovely. Would definitely return!

Sunday roast dinner for 7 extremely satisfied customers. Not a hint of anything less than excellent, from the trio of meats to the delicious vegetables to the super Yorkshire puds. Genuinely high quality fare.

Early tea with our two granddaughters 5 & 2. Service exceptional ensuring that the children were served 1st but that we also got to enjoy our grown-up meal. Even noted our granddaughter's dairy intolerance recommending chips rather than mash as there was added milk.
Nice to have the choice of several fresh fish dishes too.
