Excellent food so you can enjoy spicy but not vindaloo hot. Service exemplary. Reasonably priced at around £20 - £25 per person including drinks. You can take your own drinks for a small corkage fee and save some money. A Budgen's supermarket is next door. Recommended by the New Inn manager where we were staying. Ambience was functional rather than romantic. Good selection of delicious vegetarian dishes.

We are In Lichdale for a wedding and decided to have a curry with my stepson and daughter-in-law. Found this little gem on the high street. Set in a beautiful old building.
When we went in, a member of staff approached us with a large smile on his face and put out his hand to shake us. He asked where we would like to sit and we chose the window seat. The service was amazing, the food was outstanding, the restaurant was clean and tidy. The staff were so friendly, really welcoming and the prices were good for the location.
The food was so good we are going back there this evening.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and give it a big five star ratting.

Fantastic restaurant. The staff were friendly attentive and couldn't have done any more. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it. I look forward to the next time.

The first visit We dined in .the food was good and keenly priced . They don't sell alcohol but you can buy a bottle in the budgens next door and pay corkage at 80p per glass. I have a policy of not reviewing until after 3 visits unless I'm unlikely to be back

As expected for a monday night, it was very quiet in the restaurant. The interior was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and didn’t let us wait long. We had the Lamb tikkie madras, which was pretty spicy and sharp, and a lamb peanut curry, which was very tasty and sweet. We shared some naan bread and one rice dish. Enough to get us full without any starters. For a side dish we had the peas and cottage cheese with was a lovely side for our curries, especially to sweeten up the curry madras. It is a little bit on the expensive side for Indian (rice was 5 pounds for one serving), but the food was of good quality. I wouldn’t go for a very romantic date, but for a craving of Indian, it was definitely hitting the spot
