I went to the sherry dinner. The food was fantastic and visually stunning. The food and sherry for each course had been carefully selected to complement each other. The seating arrangements worked well, allowing the diners to mix. The staff as usual were attentive. There is a passion for food and customer service at Ambiente which transfers itself to the diner. Can't recommend this place enough!

BRILLIANT FOOD, BRILLIANT VIEW

My friend and I decided to dine here this afternoon and I was totally impressed! All members of staff were so charming and considerate - I really felt as though they cared about giving good service. The food was delicious, we shared 6 tapas between us on the lunchtime deal which was very reasonably priced. The view was fantastic - we sat on the balcony overlooking the canal. Overall, a lovely place to eat. We will definitely be returning - I cannot fault a thing. I don't usually write reviews but just felt that people should know about how good this place is. Thank you!

Brilliant varied menu, introducing more than just patatas bravas and albondigas - try the pigeon it's delicious! Great atmosphere, never failed to impress

Good location, walkable from the city centre. All dishes are delicious and worth 5 stars. We had a day trip in the city and randomly selected this place. To our surprise, the food was well above our expectations, only to mention that the entrance to the restaurant and to the toilets are stairs and there is no lift for prams.

A really nice authentic tapas restaurant, there is a large range of food to choose from catering to all different dietary requirements. The dish sizes are all very generous and three dishes is plenty to fill you up.

We really enjoyed a meal here recently. The venue was lovely, relaxed and with a nice view over the river. The staff were all very friendly and highly attentive. As tapas goes it wasn't too expensive (but you always order more than you need!) The food was mostly good, but some things were definitely better than others and you don't get the same bang for your buck from everything on the menu. We'll definitely be returning to give this place another try!

As tapas goes this is pretty good! The quality of the ingredients, menu options and the presentation were all 10/10. Reasonably priced and a great selection of drinks including their speciality sherries! The staff are happy, polite and professional and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be back here and want to thank all the staff that waited on us on Saturday. Highly recommend.

Great service and a nice quiet ambiance with all the wood in the dining area. They take pride in the food and dinner was very good. Sherry drinks are their specialty. River side views.

Great atmosphere and lovely location overlooking the river. The food was delicious and came out very quickly, despite how busy the restaurant was. It was some of the most prompt service I've ever had. Our waitress was very friendly and even recommended two cocktail bars to check out after our meal. There were loads of gluten free options as well. If we're ever in Leeds again we would definitely come back.

Having great tapas outside of Spain is such a rarity that it almost never happens so to find this little gem of a place was such a lovely surprise. The food was excellent, a great mixture of standard classics and novel interring dishes you may not have tried before… but though the food is noteworthy it’s the wine list that really blow our socks off… specifically the Sherry list… we have never found a selection of Sherry so large away from a bar in Seville… we had many fantastic glasses including some exceptional VORS…. All in all would definitely recommend and very much look forward to returning

I went at Ambiente alone and without reservation. They've been nice and let me sit at the bar. It was chaotic but they were still very attentive. I enjoyed the food very much, I made a mistake to order 5 tapas for one person 😅 but that's on me. I found the artichoke pastry very tasty, maybe a bit salty and too greasy for my taste. Nice place to go.

Visited for my husband's birthday. Staff were very warm and welcoming throughout. We were told to order as we went along but we couldn't help just ordering all our plates at once. Every single plate was delicious and my husband even chose to have a second portion of mussels whilst I enjoyed a dessert. Definitely a must visit when in Leeds. Extremely good value for money.
