Almost Famous

Ordered takeout tonight, never tried this place before so wasn't sure what to expect. Food was AMAZING. Fries were well seasoned and nice and crispy, buffalo chicken burger was perfectly sized with the perfect amount of fillings and sauce. The food wasn't greasy either which i liked!! They even threw in a little bag of haribo for me, so immediate bonus points there!! I did have to wait around 45 minutes but I understand from having worked in the food industry myself that Fridays and weekends are busiest for these places, so I didn't mind! It was absolutely worth it and I absolutely will be ordering again <3

Visited here recently with my family. The food is great but the adults mains do come with fries so the burgers are a little pricey for that reason. On top of that an optional 10% service charge was added to the bill. This is a pet peeve of mine. I hate it when restaurants do this and I refuse to pay it on principle. Leaving a tip should be a matter of personal preference. The restaurants should not be trying to shame you into paying it ( I presume the ploy behind it is that people are too embarrassed to ask for it to be removed). I'm not. Additionally, although the food was really nice and we enjoyed it, I come back to the fact that you are paying around £20 for a burger and fries (albeit they come with separate toppings). Adding an extra 10% on just seems excessive. I also feel that if restaurants do this, they should make it clear what they do with this - do they keep it? Distribute to the staff? Use it to pay wages?

My favourite burger place in Leeds, especially for the loaded fries. Service is always warm and speedy. Appreciate their commitment to quality control too - their Phoenix Loaded Fries is supposed to be a good mix of sweet potato and normal fries, and that's one of the things that make it my favourite loaded fries in Leeds (as well as the toppings!), but today my order only had a few sweet potato fries, and when I pointed this out, they immediately remedied the issue, and then checked if I was satisfied (and yes I was!).

New to the area, my fella found this place on Google Maps. It has amazing reviews, so off we went! We didn't book but could eat at the bar area. We still received the same service. The food came, and it was super hot and tasted amazing! Highly recommend this place, but book! Visited the toilets, and they looked like the walls could do with a wipe over. Water/drink marks all over.

First time visit to leeds, well in over 30 years and even though we didn't book we still managed to get a table. The place was full and lots of people still turning up for bookings, best to book. The food and service were brilliant, and the price was a shock 😲 so cheap 😁. Mac cheese balls were a close first place 😋
