Update Returned in May 2023. Now under new ownership. Deli looks good. We stopped by for a breakfast baguette of bacon and egg. Very tasty. Service a little slower than I’d expect as it was quiet. Will try it again soon. Past review: I haven’t been in here since lockdown. We used to call in regularly when we were new to the area. Thought I’d give it another try. First impression wasn’t great. Both staff seemed very uninterested in the customers. Very poor interactions and I felt like I was in their way. Ordered coffee and croissant. Croissant marked as £1.70 on the. stand. Coffee £3.00 on the board. Came to pay and the croissant was charged at £3.70 - as eating in. No difference on the coffee. 117% increase to eat in. Ridiculous. Cancelled my order. There are better places for value and service around here.

Had a recent small tea party for my mother's 94th birthday. Ordered sandwich platters, quiche and cheese and chutney platter. Food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone. Presentation was wonderful and especially liked the labelling so we all knew what we wanted to choose. Would definitely use again. Eileen

The decor is simply stunning; it's a perfect balance of modern and vintage, with unique touches that make it stand out from the crowd. And the staff? Well, let's just say they're as cool as they come. But don't worry, they're not too cool to give you a warm welcome and make you feel right at home. They're knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations, so don't be afraid to ask for their advice. Speaking of the menu, the food at Haley & Clifford is truly top-notch. Every dish is made with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. But let's be real: the desserts are the real showstoppers. They're decadent, indulgent, and oh-so-delicious. You won't be able to resist the temptation to order one (or two) to finish off your meal. But what really sets Haley & Clifford apart is the overall experience. It's a place where you can come to unwind and enjoy great food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. This place has got you covered. In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that's as cool as it is delicious, look no further than Haley & Clifford. You won't be disappointed.

Following the recommendation from a colleague, I ordered catering for a business lunch for a new team of staff on their first day meeting one another in Leeds city centre. George was a pleasure to deal with and everything was organised quickly and efficiently, as was delivery and a message to say where the food had been delivered in the building and the member of staff who had taken delivery on our behalf. We had ordered food and drinks for twelve people including a mix of those who eat meat and those who have vegetarian and vegan requirements. All food was wonderfully presented on their platters and there was no sense that the vegan/vegetarian servings were lacking in content compared to the meat options like with some places. There was clear thought that had gone into creating each serving. I'll be recommending Haley and Clifford to colleagues if they need a business lunch catering for in the future and I'll also be rebooking should the need arise.

Haley & Clifford provided the catering for a recent significant birthday celebration in the well-equipped Thorner Victory Hall. We chose a bespoke three-course cold buffet for our 26 guests. All of the food was prepared fresh by the talented and lovely Val and her team. The canapés provided an excellent small bite as the guests arrived. All of the main course dishes, including roasted Mediterranean vegetable tortilla, spinach, tomato and goat’s cheese pie, pork pies and salmon en croute, were absolutely delicious – and there was no skimping on the salmon in the en croute dish – and they all went very well with the different salad accompaniments. The fresh summer berries with cream and the frangipane tart provided a light yet tasty dessert. Many of the dishes were gluten free. Several of our guests commented on the high quality of the buffet and how pleasantly surprised they were that it didn’t feature any sandwiches at all. The customer service was excellent throughout the planning and food delivery process. Val communicated efficiently and professionally at all times and was always extremely flexible and helpful. The food was plentiful. It was therefore brilliant forward thinking that Val provided us with eco-friendly, sturdy cardboard doggy bags. Some of our guests, and we ourselves, took the spare food home. We would certainly order another bespoke buffet from Haley & Clifford in the future. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful service and the most amazing food! We used Haley & Clifford Deli's outside catering service for my 50th birthday celebration two weeks ago. All the guests were very impressed by the choice, presentation and quality of the food. In fact, it was that good, I am requesting their services again for my mum's birthday party in October.
