We travel here every week from Horsforth to buy the delicious bread; we are never disappointed! All natural ingredients, fresh from the oven! However the best thing about the bakery is Ian - he always has a smile and a chirpy chat, but be warned- he never forgets anything that you tell him!! Give it a try, you will be pleased that you did!

The Artisan Bakery is a special treat, tucked away next door to the Post Office / Library in Headingley. Run by local Baker, Ian, all products are freshly made or stocked each day.
The venue is quaint and big enough to stand four or five people (whom are usually queuing out of the door). FYI this isn't a seated restaurant but a takeaway venue.
My personal favourite products are the Spelt loaf, flapjacks and the best gingerbread men are easily the best I've tasted (I've heard rumours of a bespoke / larger version that can possibly be made for special occasions).
This is a heartfelt business with a communal, family-oriented feel, with customers showing up like firm friends of the family. If you're passing through Leeds and a baking enthusiast, I'd highly recommend visiting.
I only called in for a sandwich. They don't sell sandwiches and I don't typically eat pies. But wow, it's actually the best pie I've tasted. Great thick and crunchy pastry. The filling was high quality and really very cheap for the standard. Highly recommended.
Quality service and amazing bread! I've read the two bad reviews on here and i am baffled. Ive always had a super experience and so have a lot of people because he has normally sold out by the afternoon so he must be doing something right. But you cant please everyone as they say.

Started using regularly during lock down and now visit multiple times per week. Lovely bread (and pies and puddings!) and friendly service. Support local business and get delicious bread from here!
Best bread in Leeds by far. Ian (the baker) is a great guy and has thrown in a few free rolls if he was out of stock of whatever bread I wanted at the time (he sells out fast - it's all delicious). The saddest thing about leaving Leeds for a new job will be having to do without Artisan Bakery every lunchtime!
amazing steak, chicken, venison pies, sausage rolls and pork pies great with a bit or chutney relish. Brownies and croissants fine too. Down to earth decent staff. Epic.
I can't keep away from this place, the coconut tart and Yorkshire parking are the best I've ever tasted - an opinion shared by a couple of friends who have worked as chefs. Apparantly one of Ian's customers (who works in London) is getting ever increasing weekly orders for his parkin from colleagues. Don't be surprised if parkin becomes a trendy delicacy down south once they've tasted these.
Excellent fair priced bread with a lovely texture, not stodgy at all like you can sometimes get with supermarket bread. Freezes very well so you can stock up for the week!
Discovered this bakery this morning, tried coconut/raspberry slice, mini loaves and Parkin. All excellent and service with a smile. Great find, I’ll be back!
