I've always been fairly local to this pub but for some reason never actually been in. Well I went in today and was very impressed. Friendly staff and locals, well priced beer and the food was really good for the price too.

New landlady and staff trying to bring this great pub back to where it belongs and they are doing a fine job so far.

Under new ownership, we really enjoyed our visit yesterday. There is still some effort to go, and we would go weekly if they started doing food again which we were told is in the new year, but just the decor being spruced up, cleaner tables and layout more friendly, it was already so much more welcoming than previously. Good luck to the new landlady who we met and we hope it goes well in 2022.

Just had a lovely sunday lunch. Clearly the pub is under a recent change of management. Good size portions,fresh seasonal veg. Very reasonable prices. Have not tried the deserts as no room after a starter and main but will try it next time. Service good helpful and friendly staff
