Haven’t been to Palmers for years, it’s so beautiful with all Halloween and Christmas decorations, so many so pretty items, definitely something for everyone.
The main reason for this trip was to get some winter plants for garden, it’s actually a lot bigger in the garden / plants area, we fully enjoyed looking and picking all the plants, they are beautiful. We asked a staff about winter plants and the staff was so lovely and helped us to pick some lovely plants, sorry we didn’t get her name.
We will definitely come back before Christmas, it’s highly recommended.
Plenty free parking right outside the place.
Enjoyable morning out, At the time of visit, they had an area partitioned off as they we setting it up for Christmas.
If you want a special or thoughtful Xmas present that you won't find in the big supermarkets, you're sure to find it here. Cafe was nice, not too unreasonable. My biggest gripe is, as with all these cafés, is the pricing of cans of pop or bottles of coke.
I have been here a few times as I really enjoy visiting. The cafe has a good menu and the service is quick. I love walking around the shops within the garden centre as there are so many things to see. I have bought several items for birthday and Christmas gifts all of which were unique. Definitely worth a visit.
Our afternoon tea was delicious. Everything was fresh, tasty, well presented and just the right amount. The service was excellent and friendly.
The only downside is the bike parking. There is a very small bike rack, but it does not provide secure parking. It is the kind that you put a wheel in, then put your lock through the wheel to secure it to the rack. All this does is secure one wheel. Bicycles have quick release wheels, so no tools are required to separate the rest of the bike from the one locked wheel. Slotting the wheel in the rack in this way can also bend the wheel. A proper Sheffield rack would have increased the stars to five.
A great place and much more than a garden centre! There is a very popular cafe here, a huge variety of gift ideas from jewellery, pebble art, garden ornaments and they also stock Charlie Bears and Jellycat soft toys.
Fabulous afternoon tea at Palmer's. Very high quality sandwiches, cakes, scones and sausage rolls. Unhurried service and great value too.
Lovely garden centre with a huge variety of things to buy - plants, homeware, gifts, art and more. It also has a Works located inside which is always worth a visit. Never eaten in the cafe but it looks a really lovely place to sit in.
What can I say but was the best afternoon tea I've had. Plenty of filling in the sandwiches which were very yummy.Cakes were all very very nice. Good choice of inclusive refillable drinks including various different teas and coffees., And if you can't eat it all they will give you a box to take home. Staff were 10/10.
Large garden centre plenty of room for a wheelchair. Wheelchair accessible toilets. Large selection of plants. Lovely cafe where you can sit inside or outside. Good food.
A great garden centre and they have a lovely selection for a pre-booked afternoon tea too, it’s delicious. It’s worth knowing that you need to call a fair few days in advance for afternoon tea as they’re often busy (and no longer take bookings on Saturdays which is a bit of a shame!).
