Amaravathi South Indian Restaurant

We were very excited with the authentic varieties they had on their menu and so we have chosen the place for our Sunday lunch on our way back to Liverpool from Norfolk. We are glad that it lived up to our expectations and is worth our detour. We have tried Nethili fry, Nandu kuzhambu, Guntur chicken curry, Pilau rice & Malabar Parotta. All those dishes were very tasty & authentic. It felt like we were having our food in South India. Going by our experience, They look to be very much specialised in Tamilnadu & Andhra cuisines. We were nicely greeted by the staffs & served to perfection. We were also provided a complimentary dessert by Mr.Suresh who has been very kind & helpful with his suggestions about the available food combos & the places around as well. We have used the MacDonald road parking lot & we are looking forward to visiting again and trying their other special dishes.

Have visited and had the pleasure of enjoying their spectacular non veg thali on two occasions with one of my best friends and I can wholeheartedly say it was the best South Indian thali I have ever eaten. Delicious, a wide variety of flavours and just wholesomely scrumptious 😋 😍 😊 highly recommended this little gem of a place.

This restaurant accepts payment in Cash only!!! This seems quite common in the area. The service and food options are good. The veg and non-veg thali is worth trying. Portions of food isn’t bad either. However the wash room is in the restaurant next door which can be an inconvenience. The restaurant is clean, however at one point while we waited for the order, we sensed a strong stench which went off in a few minutes. Not sure if we would still be there for lunch if it continued. Overall, an okay experience.

A great little find. Good atmosphere and some excellent dishes. Definitely recommend. 09/05/22 Came back after some time and was not disappointed. The owner/chap that manages front of house was super friendly and attentative to all the customers. Service was spot on and the food was excellent. We had Chilli Pan er, Prawn 65, Cheese Dhosa and a few others. Would definitely recommend as one of Leicester's finest South Indian Restaurants.

A perfect place to taste some authentic South Indian cuisine . The taste is good and spicy. We tried several dish and it turned out to be good. It's located off the main Street. Parking at site is not available. Side street parking is best. Good chilli was a disappointment. But others were good This place serves alcohol too.
