Popped in on our way to Nottingham, exceptional service from a very young waitress, acknowledged us upon arrival, food was excellent and promptly served, when we went to pay once again the waitress was on the ball, can’t recommend highly enough

Very friendly welcome, excellent service. We stopped for lunch mid week as we were passing through the area. Very tasty, generous portions and the handcut chips were fantastic - they are definitely worth calling in for!. They even provided a smaller appetite menu for my friend's elderly mum as she doesn't eat such big meals these days. Would call again if I was in the area.
Molly performed exceptionally well serving me my guiness. Friendly local country pub located not too far from Melton Mowbray.
Staff are nice and cheerful and the other patrons seemed to be pleasant.

We went for my birthday and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful and the service fantastic. A lovely place to eat and friendly locals too. We'll, they were when I shared my cake 😂 would recommend.

This is one of those places you wished you lived closer to, what a lovely pub with fabulous hosts, as for the food well all I can say is amazing, prawn cocktail was very well presented and delicious served with fresh warm farmhouse bread and butter (gluten free option available) my wife had the rump steak and I had the sirloin both were cooked to perfection and both were melt in your mouth, as for the chunky chips that accompanied them well I actually think they were the best chips I've ever eaten, there was a Portobello mushroom and half a grilled tomato along with a side salad too, all very well presented I must say. We will definitely return in the future even if it means driving the 30 miles from home just to eat here again.
Had a family over from USA, our meal here was just the best , all plates emptied , all our meals were just lovely .great friendly atmosphere.
