Went to Jimmy's Killer Prawns in Leicester yesterday for the first time after friends were raving about it. Went with the 4 friends from London and the trip there was well worth it! We left at 6pm and got there for after 8pm. The food...well it was really good! The prawns were of good size and cooked spot on. The different flavours used were very good and wasn't overpowering as you can taste the actual natural taste of the prawns in amongst the flavours. We ordered the Prawn Fiesta platter where they give different types of prawns that have different flavours to them and the Saucy Prawns platter has medium sized prawns served up in their secret sauce that has a nice bit of spicy hit to it and both are served with rice and chips. They give 3 different sauces along with the food and the garlic butter sauce is the one! The food was served promptly even though the restaurant was really busy and took me by surprise when the food turned up. They give little red metal buckets to dispose of the prawns shells and ask if you want to use rubber gloves and a plastic bib, because it can get messy with all the prawns juices and Jimmy's sauces! For drinks we ordered their mocktails and from what my friends said yesterdays drinks weren't as good as last time they had the same drinks. The 5 of us finished it all off and was the perfect amount of food. The restaurant itself is of a very good size and the seating sections and booths are laid out nicely with plenty of space in and around to walk around and not feel like you're brushing past people. Very family friendly as there was families and groups coming in and the place was very busy and had a nice "noisy" atmosphere to it. Didn't have to wait to get seated. Will be making a visit with the family definitely and highly recommend it for people to make a visit if you are going up north or live nearby!

We were fortunate to finding a parking space next to the restaurant. Was very busy so had to go upstairs to overflow. No alcohol is served, has apple juice, we didn't wait long for our food, which steaming hot. The chicken livers were great, my prawn dish was excellent and the cod and chips likewise. Overall the service was excellent all round. Good value for money. We enjoyed the livers so much, took 4 portins as and a prawn platter (18) as takeaways .

I could eat at this place every day! Their food is just so delicious and satisfying. I'm a huge fan of their prawn platters—they're simply irresistible! And let's not forget about their amazing beef tenderloin. While I'd suggest skipping the burgers, everything else on the menu is absolutely fantastic! Just make sure to plan ahead and reserve a parking spot nearby, especially on busy days or weekends. Whether you're gathering with family or meeting up with friends, Jimmy's is the perfect spot for a great meal and good times.

Had the seafood platter which was plenty for two and very tasty. Loved the trio of sauces that comes with it and the disposable gloves is a great touch. I don’t think they are licensed so no alcohol but really all you need is a thirst quencher as some of the sauces are spicy ! Plenty of mocktails and fruit jugs to choose from.

Absolutely delicious the sauce was hot and spicy the prawns were a good size, little bit stingy on the chips which is why we had to order a second but didn’t quite get through it. Could have drank that sauce! Perfect for the family. Good value too.

Was recommended by family to visit. And you know what the taste is unforgettable, well cooked, easy to shell and enjoyable whoever loves seafood Jimmy's is a must. Had the seafood platter its £86.00, and we was a group of 5. So plenty on for five on the platter. The platter was perfectly flavoured. Complimented with garlic butter, lemon butter and peri peri sauce. The two sides was chips n rice, I think the rice portion should have been a bit bigger. But we were to busy de-shelling the platter with our gloves. The staff was very welcoming. Always around to help. This branch also has another floor. Onsite Parking limited but opposite is a side road with a paid car park and paid off-street parking.

I went for a Saturday night dinner pre booked a table a few days ago. We were seated promptly. Food selection was great despite the restaurant being predominately prawn based there were chicken and beef options. Unfortunately my choice of beef short ribs was unavailable. We ordered a range of dishes from a fillet fish burger to a seafood boil, chicken Caribbean combo everything was delicious! My favourite was the seafood boil, a variety of crab, lobster tail and prawns. Really would recommend going here!

Jimmy's Killer Prawns is a must-visit spot if you're a seafood lover! The atmosphere was buzzing, and despite not having a booking, the staff were incredibly accommodating. The service was impressively fast, even during busy times. One thing that sets Jimmy's apart is the unique experience of being provided with gloves to de-shell and eat the prawns with. It adds a fun and interactive element to the meal. The prawns were fresh and delicious, and the overall dining experience was fantastic. I highly recommend giving Jimmy's Killer Prawns a try!
