Old Black Horse Inn

Highly recommended village pub for Sunday lunch, you won’t be let down. Visited The Old Black Horse Inn today for a family Sunday Lunch, we were greeted at the bar by a very friendly lady who showed us to our table and took our drinks order. Our drinks arrived promptly along with the Sunday lunch menu’s. There was plenty of options for everyone, 3 different meats (Beef, Lamb and pork), 2 veggie options. Being vegetarian there isn’t always two options for Sunday roast. The meal came as described on the menu, lots of meat/wellington, veggies, Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes and plenty of gravy!!! The meal was outstanding, we were all very impressed. My brother saying it was the best beef roast he’d had in a while. Desserts menu was offered upon clearing our plates, with the waitress giving her recommendations. You can tell the dessert are all hand made. We will be visiting again for sure, and I’ll be recommending to friends.

Came here for a Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. We pre-booked and were seated in the snug by the fire. 2 of us ordered the beef and I ordered the wellington. The portions were amazing, plenty of veg and all meats (and vegan Wellington) delicious! Plenty of parking spaces, but can fill up quickly at busy times! Service was a little slow at times, so we went to pay at the bar, but it was a busy Sunday and the food was worth it. Would definitely return!
