Chickanos Leicester

Has become one of the most popular non major chicken chains in Leicester. Focuses on buttermilk chicken that has been marinating. The mango grilled wings are my personal favorite here. They are sweet but spicy but not too hot. Buckets of chicken are also sometimes a little cheaper than some of the major chains and worth investigating. Delivery and dine in have been tried and there is no difference in the quality of product in my view so order either. Delivery came quickly through one of the main delivery companies. Clean inside the restaurant with quick service as one would expect. 👌 This is also probably the closest chicken shop to the train station just in case you wondering.

Chickanos have now changed to a new name its now called Daft Bird but the owners are the same little changes to the Menu but still very good food my regular is their half a chicken served with Chips a little rice and green salad fast & friendly service good seating area if you want to dine in.Parking is best around side streets as its on non Parking st outside

A cosy and quiet place in the middle of the city center. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and staff were great too. Took a bit of time to prepare the food- acceptable timeframe. Only one thing was a bit awkward, chicken and rice were actually quite spicy 🔥, and I haven't seen it on the menu as mentioned info. As not everyone enjoys when food is spicy, but even with this "issue" I ate almost everything ( except rise) and really enjoyed it. Sauces, salt, wet wipes.. everything included in the meal + Toilets should be looked at by staff regularly to make sure everything necessary is available, as for example in the men's toilet there was no toilet paper but at the women's toilet seat was missing .Which is totally unacceptable. But even all this doesn't change the fact I liked the place and happily recommend it to everyone. And don't forget the staff were brilliant too !

Went out to Leicester to do some much needed shopping, and I stopped by at Chickanos in the city centre. The place had lots of seating with some customers already dinning in. Went to the counter and asked the person at the tills if I can see the menu, he pointed above behind him that saying that’s the entire menu. (So I believe that they don’t do menu selection in a paper/ leaflet form). Anyway I chose the Mighty Memphis as a meal deal, it came with fries that were crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. 👍 And a can of Pepsi Max. Along with this I also ordered 6 grilled wings in buffalo sauce. The Mighty Memphis had many things in it as you bite into it has different textures, in which I liked. The grilled wings were juicy but I feel the wings had a different taste from your traditional Buffalo sauce, other than that I liked it!

1st time visiting and the food was beautiful. Portions were massive and the quality was fantastic. I got the half chicken which included a large chicken leg and fillet with seasoned rice, fries and a hearty salad. The price for what I got was very reasonable. The man working at the counter was friendly, kind and he even offered extra rice if I wanted. Would 10/10 reccomend!

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, I had Mighty Memphis Burger meal (Beef patty,Grilled chicken and turkey rasher) and my Mate had Dynamite trio Chicken (Grilled 1/4 Chicken and 3 grilled wings) Piri Piri flavour with mexican rice and fries and or their prices it’s 100% worth it. Would highly recommend it.
