Nice cosy cafe place at the heart of Abbey Park, Leicester. Prices are reasonable. Carrot cake was really tasty. Scones were super fresh. They even serve samosas which was quite suprising. Moreover it is right next to historical ruins and river banks. Loved the atmosphere and I highly recommend this place. Nice stopover after a long walk in the park
Am not one to normally post reviews however on this occasion I had to comment on the exceptional service I received at this cafe on my last few visits the staff were extremely helpful including I think her name was Hayley I ordered a coffee and a jacket potato and was served very quickly and in a very professionally way.
Was asked if everything was ok to as they really cared.
This will definitely be my regular from now and so reasonably priced.
So lovely, set on beautiful landscaped gardens. Always enthusiastic cheerful staff, and so dog friendly too.
Lovely experience! Came in last week and had a cheese and ham toastie and partner had a tuna melt toastie! Nice environment. Great place to refresh after walking round the park. Will definitely be visiting again!

I called-in for a late morning reviver recently and was more than satisfied by the great range of food on offer all at reasonable prices.
I had their breakfast wrap for £3.95 and a pot of Yorkshire tea for £1.95 (free hot water top-up was available) and was very satisfied by the speed of service as well as the quality of the meal.
The cafe was clean so were the toilets. It was very busy with plenty of customers indoors as well as many outside taking advantage of the hot weather to have an al-fresco meal.
I will be back again - probably for a bacon & black pudding cob!
Wonderful service. We ordered hot chocolates for the children, one of them hadn’t tried one before and she very kindly made a tiny one for him to try.
Great little cafe always a pleasant visit when we nip in . Would definitely recommend.
Great place now in the care of Peppercorns and they have done a superb job with refurbishment, now has luxury settees, polished wood tables & chairs. It's a great asset to Abbey Park and use it frequently.
Reasonable prices and coffee in proper cups/mugs - not plastic mugs (unless taking away)
Another nice feature is that they are dog friendly, and you are welcome to take well behaved dogs in on leads, they even have doggy treats for sale, but only for extremely well behaved muts.
Note the location is shown incorrectly on Google Maps, and is actually just over the bridge across the river, not as shown in the centre of Park, which used to be a café many years ago, but is now "an Education Centre" and not open to the public.
It is shown as "Abbey Park Pavilion Café" - Not "Peppercorns"
