A great Sunday lunch with the best service and quality ingredients. The value was amazing with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. This place deserves a massive shout out, it is tucked away behind the bar area at the Gresham and has a great selection of food available daily. The team and service make it for me first and foremost.. The kitchen team deliver elegantly. Go visit and enjoy book ahead the service was busy as the word is out!

Tried Sunday lunch here yesterday. Service was abit slow due to a lady practically being on her own so no fault of her own. The lady was lovely, very friendly. Beef was alot pinker than expected considering it was meant to be medium was cooked more rare. We ordered 2 sides with the dishes one of the sides didn't come out till half way through us eating 'pigs in blankets'. Didn't look cooked at all by time we got them wasn't very nice at all. The lady handled the situation very well, took money off the bill for us giving our drinks and sides for free. She couldn't have dealt with the situation any better amazing service. As for the food was not as nice as expected.

An afternoon catching up with a bunch of friends ended with a meal here…..what a great choice I made picking this place 🤣 Great communications leading up to it (a couple of tweaks for allergy/diet: all brilliantly dealt with: thanks Shannon😎) Excellent service: very friendly and efficient 🥂 Nice atmosphere: a classy feel to the place👍 Delicious food: thanks chef 💪 Thanks to all who work there: our group of 9 all had a smashing time! went for a family meal and i was pleasantly surprised by how much i liked the food. i had the cheddar fritter as a starter, very nice but quite oily kind of like a fancy mozzerella stick. the red onion marmalade was the star! had the muscle steak served medium, sooo good enjoyed every bite. the server was nice enough to find me some sriracha for my fries too. lemon tart wasnt bad but had a weird aftertaste so i didnt finish but overall very nice experience and my family enjoyed their food

We visited Black Iron Social a few times during the December and every single time it was great. We are massive steak lovers and we finally found best place in town. We went for flank steak but instead of gravy we had Stilton sauce. Beautiful flavours and amazing quality of the meat. Eve was our host every time we visited place and she’s such a gem! Very polite and helpful. She even recognised us! We didn’t have a chance to speak with the rest of the team but she represents them amazingly. One of the best interiors in town in the restaurant and bar area. Unfortunately because we’re local we didn’t have chance to check the hotel area. Definitely will come back very soon!!!

We went to the Black Iron on a Monday evening, so it was quite quiet. The interior is fantastic and I can imagine it would be even better with more customers. There was just two of us so, the quiet was ideal. I think they must have a hotel as there was a strange reception desk at the entrance, a lift in the middle of the restaurant and people walking to and from the street. This kind of spoiled the atmosphere really. However, the food definitely made up for it and the service was excellent! We initially ordered the Sea Bass and Chicken, but we were told the fish was not available, so we both opted for the chicken. The food was incredibly tasty and the White Chocolate Dome we had for dessert was mouthwatering 😋! We also ordered some cocktails, but their menu is quite limited in that respect. I would definitely go back again, it was reasonably priced, great food and great service.
