Went for lunch. We were 5 and had a variety of items from the menu. Starters of prawn cocktail, belly of pork bites, duo of duck parfait, nachos and dusted calamari were delicious and generous portions.
For main courses we had the baked sea bass, sea bass fillet and smoked BBQ ribs. Again really good.
Usually at a steak house people to the beef which you will see from the other reviews was well received but I thought it would be of interest to highlight the broad variety of good and tasty dishes on the menu.
Recommend making a reservation as it is very popular.
A lovely little steakhouse, on the day I went there it didn't appear to be very busy which was lucky for me. The staff are very friendly and responsive, order to food at your table times are good and the food is well prepared. I only eat chicken but the menu was sufficient for me. Overall a 4 out of 5.
Nice cosy-feel pub downstairs with seating / restaurant upstairs. Staff are friendly, prices are typical for this kind of steakhouse chain. I'd say the food is better than other similar type restaurant chains. Lot's of parking.
We had the best service. The food was amazing and the staff warm and friendly. Our waitress Sharon was exceptional. We were also assisted by Shell and Miles who were absolutely amazing. My mum left her handbag there and they kept it safe and secure until we were able to come and collect it. Would 1,000% recommend you come and visit.
Went here tonight for my birthday meal and I literally couldn’t fault it. Was served by Julie who had wit and cracked jokes with us which broke the ice with my anxiety, she was very attentive to all our needs and really went the extra mile for me. Food was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, it was quiet and just topped off an amazing day. Two very happy customers.
A group of us dined here and had a lovely evening; a first visit for most.
The service was friendly, and the food was great with such variety to choose from. The steaks were enjoyed, but there was a lot of leftover lettuce. Is a quarter wedge of iceberg really necessary?
By leaving the tortoise food, we had room for dessert. There's an excellent selection of puddings and mini desserts with a hot drink, which was great value.
Overall, it's a good night here, and you won't leave hungry!
Julie our waitress was very good and attentive. Service with a smile. Nothing was too much for her and made all the difference to other restaurants that we have visited and made it that more special as this was a treat for my partners retirement. The food was too notch, couldn't fault it. Thank you 😊
Was the best service we’re had in miller and Carter and we’ve been coming here years. The lady was called Kira and nothing was too much to ask, if only all the staff were so lovely/friendly/quick and helpful as she was. X

First time visited this lovely place. It was very nice inside very comfortable sitting as I have a bad back. The staff were excellent from start to finish. We were asked would you like something to drink first. We orded our drinks then this lovely lady came to our table and gave us a menu to look at. The lady serving us was very nice and I commented on how lovely it was to have a very pleasant person to serve us. We were delighted with starters and main meal.
We started with mushrooms in a very tasty sauce with 4 shards of bread one lot for me separate from the mushrooms in sauce and one lot for my partner and the bread was perfectly soft and easy to digest. As a starter it was filling.
For our main meal we had steak and she asked us how we liked our steak cooked and with that we had chips or mash and I decided to have mash & my partner had the same with peas and a choice of different gravy. We ordered a extra side dish of chips so we had a mixture of both. We both cleared our plates.
The steak was lovely cooked and we were so full up we never ordered an afters. But the next time I go I will have main meal, then afters. We would recommend eating here as it was really lovely and cosy with excellent staff and nice atmosphere.

Great service and atmosphere. Especially great at the moment due to the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday meal and any cocktail starting from £20!
Greeted and welcomed by Clare who was our server the last time we visited. Clare remembered us and how helpful she was then and was the same this time. Very attentive and welcoming. What a star. The dinner was as expected too drawer. A great experience that we hope to repeat in future, many times
The food was delicious and our waitress Sarah was absolutely fabulous. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was so attentive and informative. I work in the hospitality industry and would highly recommend her. Sarah is an asset to the Miller & Carter as an establishment. We will most definitely be back!
