My friend and I visited here for the first time, we both chose the Sunday veggie nut roast, which was very tasty.
The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The pub is (very) dog orientated and we were greeted by their delightful Jack Russell, Arthur. The pub has the unusual addition of a skittle alley, which was very busy. They also have nights when they have a pizza van outside but don't serve pub food on those nights. I would recommend booking before going. All in all a good experience.
Brilliant Sunday dinner, with local melt-in-the-mouth roast beef from Offham Farm, absolutely delicious, even came with cauliflower cheese! Had a gorgeous homemade apple crumble with cream for afters, what more could you want! The outside marquee they've set up is really lovely and great service too, was a real pleasure to spend a Sunday afternoon here
Visited Sunday lunchtime, had lamb roast: excellent quality and flavours, well cooked across all elements, decent sized portion. The Harvey's ale and lager were very good. Friendly and efficient staff.
Nice pub, food not bad, a bit school dinnerish, drinks a little over priced, Skittle alley great fun.
Lovely village local, great landlord and systems in place to social distance so feels safe too. Had a cracking chicken Sunday roast so big I needed a cat-nap on the outside sofa afterwards! All 8 adults and 3 children catered for with friendly professionalism. Recommended.
Friendly, laid back local pub. Friendly landlord. Everyone was sat out in the front in the sunshine enjoying their drinks when we visited providing a lovely atmosphere. Not been before but would visit again if in the area.
Had the burger, which was very tasty compared to most pubs and staff very welcoming. Decoration could do with a rethink though. Will certainly be back regardless for Thursday burger deals
Understand that, as at the current date, the pub has recently changed landlord, so we're a little unprepared for having a lot of people descend upon them.
However, received a warm welcome and they managed to cope reasonably well.
It's a very nice village pub in the Sussex countryside not that far from Lewes (Harveys on draught 😉). I didn't try the food, but others were saying it was very acceptable.
Will happily go back and will try the food then 🙂
Cheerful traditional pub in attractive village. Real ale and comfortable outside seating. Food available.
Just stopped for Harvey's beer n crisps. Very welcoming. Highly recommended. Cheers.
