Hendersons Bar & Restaurant

Absolutely beautiful little spot. The lodges are beautiful and the hot tubs were always maintained in an excellent condition. We love staying here. The reception staff are extremely helpful. Just a gorgeous little spot with some lovely finds nearby. Love how the team contacted us via WhatsApp over our stay to ask if there was anything we needed or any local info we wanted about things to do. This was such a lovely personal touch. We have visited now 4 times and cannot wait to go back next year. Our little one who is 2 had an amazing time and the dog also loved it ! X

We had a great weekend here, theres nice thick towels and robes to wear after chilling in the hot tubs. The kitchen was well equipped and they even provided enough washing up liquid / detergent / dishwasher tablets so that we could enjoy our stay without having to worry about who was washing up. Perfect for a weekend in the peaks, will return I'm sure.

We’ve been here a few times as it’s a fabulous location. This time we stayed in a ‘Scandinavian 6’ (No.48). Whilst the holiday park has a lot of positives, for the price we paid we expected better. The lodge was tired and in need of decoration. Maybe even just a good wash to remove marks on the walls and cobwebs here and there. The kitchen area whilst suitably equipped desperately needs more lighting. It is served by a few low wattage LED’s built into the ceiling above which due to the slope of the roof actually point away from the worktops. The main problem was the quality of the mattresses....... every spring could be felt and sleeping was both painful and difficult. If the site owners could find time in their schedule to actually sleep on one of these beds I’m sure they’d be replaced immediately. Whilst the accommodation is promoted as ‘luxury’ , the mattresses are more in keeping with a YMCA. Putting all this to one side, it’s a great location and we will probably return again !
