Very busy place in a wonderful city. Beer was excellent. Staff were officiant. Beer prices were good. Well worth a visit if you're a drinker.

Excellent place to have a cheap beer. Can get a bit noisy on weekends but I've never seen any trouble there.

Refurbished a couple of years ago by Craft Union this is a great pub. The prices are very low and the beer is well looked after, the cheap prices attract a certain clientele but not as bad as some other pubs.
There's a good selection of lagers, ciders, and spirits, but unfortunately only 2 cask ales.
During the day there are times when the pub appears to resemble a crèche with unaccompanied kids sitting at tables and running around - maybe a sign of the times but annoying just the same.

Excellent pub, staff nice and friendly, bar prices very reasonable. Back room has a pool table, customers lovely, invited us to play.

Very nice place, friendly and efficient staff and a good choice of beers and great play to watch sport on the in-house TV's. Beer garden at the rear of the pub which also has a TV.
