Carl with a K looked after us all night, we were in a group of around 13 with Jesus at the end of the table. Brilliant atmosphere, thoughely enjoyed it. The loaded fries were lovely. I would highly recommend it.

Four of us eating out on a Sunday evening. Super food, nachos, steak and two steak pies. The Pie pastry was crisp and flaky and meat filling very delicious. Quiet but nice atmosphere. Service also great.

We often go to the quiz night on a Wednesday and it is brilliant fun! The owners and staff are very friendly and it's a beautiful location with the castle and cathedral in view! I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone! 😀🍻

Cracking meal, very tasty and great value for money. Staff very friendly and dogs were treated as customers with water and biscuits. Highly recommend a visit. Thanks very much. We will definitely be back next time we’re down from Scotland.

We had a table of 7 on a very busy weekend (Steam Punk weekend!) Magna called in the morning to advise there may be a delay on our food due to the size of our table. When arriving at the venue, the staff were really attentive, polite and quick to show us to our table. Based on how busy the pub was, our food ordering experience and delivery was really smooth. The food did take a little longer but again we were advised this may be the case so it was no problem at all. Thanks for a great afternoon, everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Thanks again!

We came for the Monday night quiz and had a meal before hand. The staff were really lovely: friendly and helpful. We felt that nothing was too much trouble. The food was great - just what we needed - and the quiz with Karl was really entertaining. One of the most fun quizzes we’ve done in a while.

The food is lovely, good choice of drinks at a reasonable price. There's often something going on, from pub quizzes to live music- I prefer Mondays quiz because it's a proper pen and paper job, where as Wednesdays is on an app.
Staff are friendly, helpful, and personable. Plus it's in a beautiful part of the city. You couldn't ask for more from a pub.
