Lodge Pub & Eatery

After sitting down at my table and looking around and thinking the decor was cute, my friend responded to my “trying a new spot!” text with “I had a bad experience there.” Instantly, I thought... oh boy. But I wanted to give them a try! So we stayed and ordered clam cakes and chowder and the Lodge burger. Our food arrived shortly after we ordered, and let me just say.... it looked and smelled AMAZING! the taste did not disappoint either! Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavoring was on point. The staff was amazing. Our waitress (sorry I didn’t catch her name!) was WONDERFUL! She put a smile on my face every time she came to the table! I solemnly write reviews but I felt like this place deserves it! I know my friend will be trying this place again soon also!!

Very dated. Cobwebs on the interior and dust on the chains that hold the lights over the tables. Waitress was pleasant and only had three tables but was never able to check on me after I was served. Onion rings were made there which would have been great if they were hot and cooked a bit longer. Wedge salad didn’t have the crispy bacon that I asked for and there was a few brown pieces of lettuce that should have NEVER been on any plate served. This place USED to be good and well known now just a nostalgic memory.

First time eating here. Beautiful building. Nice outside deck. The bees were a little distracting as they were at our feet , legs and chairs most of the time. Other tables & customers had them too. Probably a small nest under the deck. We never got stung, but it was hard to enjoy our time while hoping not to get stung, ha. Our waitress seemed frazzled for awhile running back and forth for tables before finally getting to us and taking our drink order. (We never got a drink menu , and they had no drink options on the menu we were given. So we just got sodas. ) Then after ten minutes she came over with our drinks and laughed and said "I'm sorry for taking a long time" and then took our order. I've worked in restaurant business for over 15 years, so I do judge on how my service is when I eat out. Seemed the other surrounding customers were regulars and had both their drink & food orders taken with-in 2 mins of sitting down. Conversations between staff and other customers around us confirmed they were regulars. So our experience was ehh. But the Food was actually amazing. If we lived closer I'd probably just get take out.

This place is exactly what it should be. It’s homey and comforting but I’d go in with low expectations on the food and service. Had a rough dine in experience- ordered a burger cooked medium with regular fries. Burger was extremely rare and it came with curly fries. Server told me curly fries were regular fries. I then looked at the menu and saw they’re different. Asked the server again and she eventually got me actual regular fries. Ordered takeout, again just burger and fries. Ordered burger with lettuce, tomato, and onion and it had none of the above.

It had been years since we last ate here and decided to go back tonight. We will never go back again! As soon as we walked in there was a smell of cleaner. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I’d rather smell food when I walk into a restaurant. We were greeted immediately and seated by a friendly hostess. They sat us in the back with the booths and there was a new smell of dirty carpets. I’ll never understand why they install carpets at restaurants, and this one definitely needed a shampoo. It was late so we decided to stay and order. I ordered a pomegranate martini which tasted like chemicals and cheap liquor. Waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. My chicken parmigiana sandwich was just gross. Chicken patty was frozen and sauce was extremely acidic. My husband’s “overflowing” lobster roll was not exactly as described but tasted ok with semi-stale roll. I’m not exactly sure how they have the Google rating that they do.
