Guzzardo's Italian Villa

By far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The food tasted fresh and homemade as if we got invited to Sunday dinner at Grandma's house! The spaghetti was amazingly delicious! I got the villa and it was great and our son got a pizza which was just as good. The fried ravioli with marinara oh my goodness! Our waitress was amazing! Everything about this place was wonderful. I travel for work and so far the best place I have tried in Illinois even better than the famous Italian place we went to in Chicago. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

A local tradition that goes back to 1957 and three generations of family ownership. Great home-style Italian food served hot, prepared well and seasoned just right. The rustic, clean and cozy surroundings add to the comfort food experience.As an added bonus, outdoor seating is available in season. The staff is customer attentive and well trained. Ownership was present in the dining rooms and manages with pride. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner her and the staff and ownership greatly added to that. I would highly recommend Guzzardos for a relaxing, low-key home style meal prepared well. KUDOS, to the staff and owners of Cuzzardos Italian Villa, WELL DONE!!!

Had a good experience at Guzzardo's. We went for my sister's birthday and there were about 10 of us. The service was good and our waitress was friendly. They got our salads, soups, and appetizers out very quickly. All the food was delicious. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol but you can BYOB so I brought some wine to accompany my dinner. I had the french onion soup and the prime rib, which was the special for Friday night. Prime rib was on the bone and very juicy. My fiance ordered the chicken parmesan and he loved it. My picky daughter ate a LOT of the schnitzel, to my surprise. I much enjoyed the spicy french dressing type sauce it came with. My only con for the visit was we waited about an hour or more for our food. However, they were extremely busy so I can understand why it took that long. Will return again!

I love there schnitzel's and their hot sauce and they're twice baked potatoes. That is all I ever order from there but here lately in the last month or so they're schnitzels have had way too much breading too much gristle and have been smaller. Tonight I ordered one and it's overcooked the breading taste different. Not to mention the hot sausage changed. I'm not sure if they've changed where they order the meat for them or they got a new cook. Please just go back to the way your schnitzel used to be. Thank you
