Franco Manca Lincoln

I'm really not one to do reviews but I feel like I should. After our original booking wasn't possible due to a kitchen equipment issue, the manager asked us to come back another day and give them another chance. When we came back on a different day, all of the staff went above and beyond and really looked after us. The food was great and it's been a long long time since we've seen such good customer service. We'll definitely be back. Thank you

Arrived before midday and were the first customers in the restaurant, which explains the lack of atmosphere, but it soon started to fill up. It was a coincidence that all three of us wanted pizzas that appeared on the lunch deal selection, which meant a discount of almost £12 off the total. All three pizzas were very good and, in my view, better than any of the major pizza chains in Lincoln; the standard size pizza was a bit too much for our 10-year old grandson so in future I would order from the children’s menu. Waiting staff were both polite and efficient, and the pizzas arrived very quickly. From previous reviews I was expecting the discretionary service charge to appear on the bill but I do think there should be some reference to this on the menu; however, I was happy to pay the service charge because I was happy with the service. Very happy overall and I definitely intend to return.

Eaten in many a Franco across the land and am always tingling with anticipation to savour pizza like that first time I ever visited one . But sadly I feel they have not matured and improved like the sourdough but are just mediocre at best, don't know if this is to do with the Uber/Just Eat society that order in so the restaurant pride is lacking. Today the dough was quite raw as it was slightly too thick and the care and artistry of a great pizza was lacking. Service was however superb if only the pizza could follow. I will wait until another year when the memory of this one fades and the anticipation around my first memories return.

Months through been begging Franco Manca to pop up a branch in Nottingham, I found myself happily zooming down the motorway for an hour to their Lincoln location. And, blimey, it was worth every second on the road. The pizza, as always, was smashing - a proper Franco Manca special. But what really made this visit stand out was the excellent location and, most importantly, the fab team who absolutely nailed it! They were full of beans, always checking in on us, all smiles, and quick as a whip. They even broke out into a "Happy Birthday" tune for a lucky chap at the table next to ours and had a laugh about a customer selling his shirt in the shop. We've got into the habit of tidying our table after a meal, stacking plates and cutlery to make it easier for the staff. Normally, this earns us a smile or a quick 'ta'. But at Franco Manca Lincoln, the reaction was a bit special. A staff member appreciated our little act so much she gave us 4 free Limoncellos! Talk about generous! In a nutshell, our trip to Franco Manca, Lincoln, wasn't just about gobbling up pizza - it was an experience brimming with true, heartwarming service. Highly recommended!
