We've been coming to Raj Doot regularly with our family since it opened nearly five years ago and it's the only restaurant where we have NEVER been disappointed. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, drinks too and the service is friendly and helpful. They will adapt any dish to your taste. The Christmas set menu is such good value - the best Indian food locally by a mile. Try it.

Having read the reviews and spoken to couple of people who have eaten here I thought I'd try a take away. It was awful!! I just must have been unlucky as all the reviews are positive.
The chicken was so hard and seemed as if the chicken had been pre boiled and then just added into what was to all intents and purposes a very fiery Madras soup, conversely my biryani was very dry tasteless and reheated and totally inedible. The vegetable curry was tasteless, and seemed to be mostly carrot. The sag aloo was passable though again not much flavour. To me it was like an Indian ready meal from a supermarket, same sort of flavour and texture.
I am disappointed as I'd hoped that I'd found an Indian restaurant that we could use but alas, that isn't the case.
I'm sorry I've given a negative review but I think it only fair to report on what I consider to be very inferior food on this occasion.

Had take-a-away twice from here. The food was beautiful, it has converted me to Indian food. Have a little Google of the dishes and try something new, I recommend the sweet and sour curry with a lamb filled naan and sagaloo rice!!!!

Just had my 2nd curry from here. Just as beautiful as the 1st. Piping hot and delivered inside 1 hour on new years eve! Had the Chilli Garlic Chicken which was nice and spicey and very moist and even the plain rice was not dry. My wife had a Chicken Tikka Masalla and they even added some garlic at her request. Very accommodating. The Onion Bhajis were extremely pleasant and the Garlic and Cheese Naan was a beast! Very very satisfied. Do not miss out!

Our favourite. Superb food, friendly service. Don't be fooled by the quirky "old school" decor - the Raj Doot is completely up to date with its beautifully focused, freshly cooked food. Highly recommended.

We first visited Raj Doot on the day it opened and have since been going once or twice a month. We do have it delivered some time and it is always on time and nice and hot but we prefer to eat in as the staff and atmosphere enhance the good tastes that come out of the kitchen. I could take or leave Indian Quisine until I went to Raj Doot. Lovely, delicious, mouthwatering. Once you have tried it you will have to go back for more. I have a dairy allergy and our daughter has a wheat allergy and they are so helpful and understanding.
