Exceptionally friendly staff and delicious homemade cakes. If only more villages had stores like this.
Called this afternoon while out cycling - Coffee & Walnut cake with tea sat in the warm autumnal sunshine 10/10

First class village shop, cafe & Post Office run by community volunteers in a picture perfect setting on the village green. Worth a visit just to see the 'joke box' and village Stocks, kids will enjoy it. Clean and well maintained children's playground nearby

Run by volunteers. Lovely range of homemade cakes. Some lovely cards as well as a range of essentials. Made very welcome by the lady serving

Lovely little shop, very welcoming, ample seating on the green too, cracking cake - I strongly recommend the choc orange cake even though the colour is a little dazzling :).

Called in for coffee break on my walk back from Cressbrook
For a small village shop they do quite well with a variety of services on offer and the cake was lovely

half way through long walk, this quaint stores / PO was a joy to discover. Very friendly service ; we had coffee/ hot choc and a slice of cake. Wonderful and such good value as well. Large area with tables on village green to eat / drink at. Don't miss the community phone box, plastered with jokes from the community posted during Covid. A few groaners but brill.

This is a community shop run by volunteers and includes a post office.
OK not Also prices but it not cost effective to be going hither and thither for too up items and essential basics.
The prices are competitive non the less and it is a good place to keep up with what's going on locally.
Thoroughly recommend this shop.
