It's pretty close to shopping area and not far from embankment. The design is simple but everything is rather clean and tidy. Fish is really good and fries taste nicely. The cafe is pretty crowded and you can find it full but they make takeaways also
Yanni's was hands-down the best fish and chips we had in the U.K. (or really anywhere for that matter). The batter on the fish was so light, not at all greasy and most definitely delicious. The fish was firm and flaky... crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Served with either tarter or curry; both are super. The staff was lovely and the outside seating is perfect for people watching.
Yanni's is a lovely little traditional fish and chips shop in Liverpool. The fish is always fresh and tasty, and you can really taste the quality. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, which adds to the cozy atmosphere. The restaurant itself is quite small and can get busy during peak hours, so at times it may be difficult to find a seat if you want to dine in.
The only downside is that Yanni's is cash only, so remember to bring some bills if you plan to eat here, as they don't accept card payments yet.
A small fast food joint with more than fish and chips. Its fish is fresh and also has other choices: kebabs, pies, and burgers.
There is a reason why Yanni's Traditional Fish & Chips was voted one of the best places in the UK. The service was quick. The food is great 👍🏿 👌🏿. The staff is so friendly and welcoming 🤗. When you are in Liverpool and want the BEST Fish & Chips, you have to go to Yanni's!!
Second time visiting Liverpool, second time visiting Yanni's. Seriously people, I am Scottish, we know what we are talking about when we talk about deep fried foods! This chippy is fantastic. The last time, I had what we call a special fish, that is a fish not covered in batter but breaded then deep fried. This time I had the battered haddock! Lovely fresh fish and hand cut chips. The battered fish was enormous, could have fed two! Lovely crispy batter, that stayed crispy all the way to the last bite. The customer service is brilliant as well, always wanting and willing to help, cheerful and friendly. It's a small seating area and of course I dropped my sticks whilst trying to sit down but I had plenty of people asking me if I was alright, and did I need a hand and that was the customers and the staff. Seriously good place to eat and it's always busy, so you have been warned. If you are in Liverpool, stop in at Yanni's you won't be disappointed. Thank you to the staff member who offered their assistance to me it was greatly appreciated.
Asked some of the locals to recommend a place for fish and chips and they all said Yannis. Tried the small fish, chips and mushy peas and it was amazing. Staff really friendly. Decent price and portion size. Totally recommend if visiting Liverpool
Very friendly, clean and comfortable. Excellent fish n chips and curry sauce. Very convenient location.
The pricing system is very confusing and seems to be much more than what is displayed on the board. The portions are huge, even for the small plates. Service was great. The chips could be a lot crispier, especially when paired with the curry
Very friendly owner & staff, quick service, lovely food. Great portion size. Delicious meat, chips and salad.
