We received a very warm welcome. It was a very great experience. The service staff was very helpful and gave us information about everything. The food was very good and the atmosphere was great. I recommend the 3 course menu. Thank you for everything.
Ventured over to Liverpool for a meal with friends on a Friday evening… and it was very pleasant!
Service was friendly and they were certainly very good at “selling” every item on the menu. The description by staff made us want to have a bit of everything!
Overall, the savouries were better than the desserts… and the fish and veg dishes was better than the one red meat (lamb) we had.
If I had to be picky, I’d say the place was slightly on the noisy side, but that didn’t mean we had to shout across the table… and it was a tat warm and humid, but the place was full on a british summer evening.
Such a lovely restaurant. Food was high quality and a lovely relaxed atmosphere with two lovely servers. We had croquettes and Dashi. Then the rarebit potatoes and beef tartare. Finished with the lemon sole and onglet steak. Will recommend to everyone.
Stopped into Liv between Ireland and Paris. Neighborhood gem. Server David was a true gentleman. We had a go and ordered every main on the menu, the Michelin rated Guinness rarebit potato, smoked courgettes, deviled eggs (topped with tobiko for those with allergies), and proper Manhattans (we had 8). Knowledgeable service and we even had a pint across the way with them following dinner, lol. Elegant and approachable atmosphere.
Amazing dining and dining experience that had me grinning from ear to ear. The food is fabulous, really different and fun. Even the approach to the menu is a little different.
The drinks are incredible, just another level. The mixologist/sommelier is engaging and knowledgeable and so friendly. The old fashioned is one of the best cocktails I've ever had. He gave me an amaro to try and based on his recommendation I bought myself a bottle online. We had four smaller plates, two large, two desserts, a bottle of wine, and four cocktails and everything was top notch.

The staff were friendly, engaged and well informed about the food and wine that they were serving. Would thoroughly recommend. I left my glasses on the table and they went that extra mile and delivered them to our hotel!

Had a lovely selection of dishes here with very good service food was very tasty, well presented and cooked just right. The only negative is the speed at which we were served it was 7.11 pm Wednesday night, and a few tables were vacant with a few finishing off their meal. We ordered 2 Americano cocktails, a bottle of wine, and 6 dishes, including bread. Within 5 minutes of bread being delivered, the croquettes were down.not even had time with the Americano 5mins later the ham hock, and then 18min gap before pork cheeks and bbq celeriac were put down followed 3 minutes later with the sea trout. All well too fast and you feel you have to rush because the is not piping hot so you don't want it going cold. When you order, they give you notice that food comes when it's ready. That's great when it's Friday Saturday night and need to turn tables over quickly, but on a slow Wednesday night, the kitchen could quite easily space it out. SO TOP TIP ONLY GIVE HALF YOUR ORDER AT FIRST. THEN THE REST AFTER.
We got the bill 63 minutes after arrival £160 for 2.
Lovely food
I can not speak highly enough of this place. The food is outstanding. The rarebit and celeriac dishes blew my mind. Everything was absolutely delicious. Exceptional service. Excellent cocktails and wines. Lovely vibes. Highly recommended.
Worth the walk from the centre for their Sunday lunch menu. I went for the vegetarian option with all the meat roast accompaniments, Yorkshire pudding etc. All delicious finishing with THE best chocolate tart I have EVER had. Cool hokey venue and staff particularly welcoming and accommodating. A must go to venue particularly if you are a foodie visiting Liverpool. Nearby Selby Park and Palm house worth a visit too.
Oh my goodness, well done team Belzan. Everything was outstanding, everyone one of your team incredible. The most delicious fresh smart healthy tomato broth with butter beans, a glass of summer shrub soda that made me grin.
Guys, it far exceeded any expectations. A total gem. Bravo! I'll be back
