Read some reviews of this place online. I wanted to support an some independent business for an afternoon tea to celebrate their 70th birthday.
Dietary requirements were easily taken care off and the food looked stunning.
My friend and I had a very laid back afternoon tea and it was super filling.
Staff were young and friendly and were keen to assist.
Whilst slightly off the main track, it's a one walk from Bold Street.
The only negative thing is accessibility. Their are some very steep steps to this place.
All in all, an excellent experience and lovely memories.
Well worth a special treat.
Picture this: A weary traveler seeking refuge in the realm of caffeine and treats, I ventured into Cuthberts Cafe for their heralded 'afternoon tea' experience. And, by George, it felt like a mini Downton Abbey episode, sans the drama! Delicate sandwiches, pastries worthy of a Michelin-star and scones that might just start an international debate about jam vs. cream first. The staff even seemed to channel their inner Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes. If you ever wished to feel like British royalty without the tabloids trailing you, this is the spot. Cuthberts, you had me at 'Earl Grey'. Cheers!
Was there for an afternoon tea (jubilee afternoon tea to be more specific) the same day I wrote this comment. The place is on an off-beaten track, so if anybody wants to feel like a local, you should check it out. The place itself is very cute, the staff is very nice, and the afternoon tea was very lovely. I enjoyed every moment and every bite of it. Thank you very much for so lovely and delicious experience.
Amazing place, can't wait to come back. First time I've had afternoon tea and it was all delicious and fresh. They easily catered for the changes we wanted to make and other dietary requirements to with no trouble.
The de-facto place for afternoon tea in Liverpool. There are multiple different types you can get - the New York style one is fun, but I love the traditional one.
Staff are super helpful, and have a good balance between not attentive enough and overbearing.
The pasties that you can buy for takeout are delicious!
Wonderful afternoon The cakes and sandwiches were amazing and very tasty. Service was excellent. A wonderful place to visit one I definitely recommend xx Thank you
Delicious afternoon tea and kind staff! Went the extra mile by putting my veggie tea on a separate tower, which was a really nice detail. Absolutely worth a visit if you're on Liverpool.
Outer appearances don't look much but once you enter the staff are lovely, friendly and so helpful. The atmosphere is so cosy and relaxed. Food is gorgeous too.
Lovely cute little café. Had an amazing vegan swirl cake. And tried London breakfast tea with milk (they had plant based options).
Gorgeous place. Lovely china cups and plates. Delicious festive afternoon tea.
